DH is doing them for me. I like that I don't have to think about it. He's getting better at them. The going is painless. It's the period after that I'm quite sore. Just going to have to suck it up and get used to it I suppose. Come all this way and gone through so much for my sore butt to get in the way of a good final result.

I'm wondering how hard it is to inject myself, I'm a bit of a control freak! Don't know if I'd like hubby to do it for me.
We are staying about half an hour out of the centre, in Kalk Bay. We might be staying Thursday night right nearby if you're still around?
Thursday will be our last night here. PM me if you're in town and we'll see where we are. :-D

Sore butt is definitely one of the lesser things I've worried about doing this whole thing. I find the pessaries and the clexane much more of a metaphorical pain in the butt!
Speaking of bums, gross question ladies..... has anyone used the pessaries rectally? Were they as effective?

Offshorechick - 17 embies sounds like a great haul. You should have a few for the freezer too.

HB13 - 10 follicles is great. Good luck for your egg collection on Friday.

I forgot how sore your butt gets with the gestone injections. I'm not looking forward to them.

Me again looking for some more advice, if anyone has some time?
I was wondering if anyone has feedback about the Natal clinic in Durban? I found a donor that I would really like to go with, but she's in Durban. Originally I was thinking of going to CFC, but now I figure I need to change my plans.

A lot of donors will travel but you will have to pay extra. Check with your agency. Our donor was from Durban and we paid an extra 3 grand as she brought her partner for support. It was worth it for us as we wanted her and wanted to go with CFC. Just make sure they give you a figure up front and put in in your contract as I think some ladies have been asked for additional costs at the last minute.

Petulia - I have tried the progesterone pessaries rectally.. But they gave me the ****s.. So wonder how much they were being absorbed. Apparently works for some. Wazzas nurse said another option was to use vaginally and then insert a tamping covered with a little Vaseline. Remove tampon after 30 min.

I loved Canal walk shopping centre... Plus cavendish sq. canal walk has the bonus of lots of food outlets and 10+ movie theatres. Movie n popcorn n drink., bargain at $12

It has been a rough start for me after my BFP and slow rising HCG. So many blood tests and scans so far.. I went for my 9 week scan today.. Confirming last weeks crappy scan.. No heartbeat.. So off all the meds and waiting to miscarry
