All great present ideas! Funnily enough my husband was just talking about some sort of opal jewelry since it's pretty Aussie :-)

I got our donor a beautiful big purple koala heat pack. Funnily enough I bought it at Sydney airport and put in her card that I always loved using my heat pack after egg pick up. It helped that her favourite colour was purple. I also popped some choccies in and a little silver necklace with an angel!

    Latest update:
After 23 fertilised eggs we've ended up with only 5 blasts. We transferred 1 and have 4 frozen. I know it sounds insensitive but I had built up my hopes that with that number fertilised we'd end up with a lot more to freeze. With our luck so far I am always thinking worse case scenario and wanted more backups. Seems so unreal that this will work....

@ECM1981 Are you in CT or do I have my dates wrong?
Super good luck @Petulia. I had similar numbers and transferred one and froze 7 so I understand how disappointing that can be. I hope they were graded nicely for you. Fingers crossed this cycle works and then you'll have a sibling waiting on ice.

I understand that feeling, with that many fertilizing I too would have had high hopes for a few more blasts! But 5 is still really good :-)
Did they say why so many dropped off? Do you have any male issues?
I'm really worried already about how many we might get as hubby has sperm issues too.
Fingers and toes crossed for your 2WW!!

I've been dealing with Elaine for Dr LR and she's been very good. Sometimes a day or 2 at the most wait for a response depending on what was asked.

Tahli I had Cyndi also then found out last week from an email from Karin that she has been let go . I now have Karin who after 6 days still hasn't replied to the email I sent. So I shall be interested also in who else is good, because this is crap now.

I'm wondering what CFCs formal complaints process is. I think I'd like to submit a formal complaint after the handling of my last cycle where I lost about $1.5k. I also feel for the women who had to change their dates because of Dr Ms conference and also lost money. There should be a process where we can comment on our nurses performance too.
