    Ha ha, really?

I don't mind a good chuck! I don't say it's pretty by any far stretch of the imagination but it's never worried me.

You always feel sooooo much better afterwards

Exactly what I thought, but I think @Gen72 only put back one emby?

Mind you, that doesn't mean that there can't be twins.

    Hiya @Gen72

Man if their gonna start slugging us for bloods on top of what we already pay then I'm super happy to do my next 'full stim' (if needed!) with Wazza remotely.. That was already my plan but it's definitely concreted that plan if it's true.

I'm wondering how much it would be? I've only had maybe 2/3 lots of bloods done in each stim cycle I think?

I've not heard of Monash implementing that policy as yet, but I think the Government was considering taking away funding for BT's at one point? It was wrapped up within the proposed changes to Medicare etc. And it wasn't just BT's that were affected from memory - scans, xrays etc too maybe? Either way, I hope that is NOT the case. That would place a massive financial strain on lots of people, not just IVF'ers. The elderly would really suffer from it

I have another friend who given the likelihood of success decided not to try for IVF. I think if the cost was less she might have attempted it. (She is in a regional area without access to low cost clinics). I guess there will be a lot more women like that in the future.

Ah, yup. Right here We spent our entire house deposit on IVF (and we're not bl00dy young, DH is turning 53 this year) so it was a BIG DEAL for us to do that. We own no major assets - no rental properties, shares, gold bullion bars. We rent, we pay massive amounts of Child Support to DH's ex. We literally live week to week. And now we have borrowed $10K to do a donor egg round of IVF, and will be paying that back for the next 7 years.

There were times where we wanted to give up and prior to our loan being granted I presumed we were at the end of the line with it all. It is NOT FAIR to me that good people who are desperate to have babies have to give up everything they own and quite literally live on the poverty line to have a child, yet these young 15 year old somethings can pop babies out and get paid for it willy-nilly.

Sorry, I know everyone is entitled to have a child but there is something bl00dy wrong with the way it all is now It breaks my heart that some people cannot have a child simply because of money. It should not come down to that! And 'smart people' will tell you that if you can't afford to do IVF you can't afford to have a child in the first place...Well, I call BS on that! Raising a child doesn't call for regular $15K payments UP FRONT.

Infertility is painful enough without the bigwigs making it damn near impossible for us to do IVF....

Big hugs hon. You'll know what to do on the day If you don't feel up to seeing Little Bubba though, get someone to take some pictures for you ok? You might not look at them now, but when you do want to see Little Bubba you don't want to regret having no pictures.

Well, I've spammed you all good and proper this morning haven't I?!

    And to me....

Still flat knacker working. Tonight is the line in the sand for payroll for the fortnight so it'll be a busy day for me trying to log in as many hours as I can for the next pay packet.

I'm working tomorrow too but am taking Friday 'off' to do all the housework I've neglected this week. I feel like I'm doing everything half-a$$ed at the moment - work, EDA, BH, FB. There are not enough hours in my day. Better get used to it I suppose, with tax time right around the corner.

    Have a great day everyone!
