Thanks @Tahli! Yes I'm hoping I'll get to a TET!! I have been following along with your journey and really hoping everything works out for you with your lining and you get your TET soon too. I travel to Brisbane for donor sperm as its in short supply in Perth (they don't import from OS) so I understand that the travel costs are a real issue on top of all the usual costs (not quite as far as you travel I know), I worked out that my flight home this time will be my 20th for this journey!!. Not to mention organising time away and then cancelling when things go haywire. This happened to me last year and it's a real kick in the guts.

Let's hope Friday 13th is lucky for us both and we get good news

@faithandhopellove FWIW I like the title of the old thread - it's descriptive, to the point and doesn't present a barrier to those looking for support who might not be able to find the thread if it had a more obscure name... as you suggested I think the 'IVF over 40s' bit at the front would make it pretty clear that it's not really a thread for those who are unhappy about being pregnant.

Also, as I mentioned before, an open thread is my preference... without the open threads on BH and the information exchanged and freely shared I probably wouldn't be where I am now. I have learned so much from these forums over the years and I would like to think that the spirit of openly sharing our experiences and information might continue on once we 'graduate'... I thought about trying to join the private over 40s thread for support but I felt like I would be intruding on a private conversation so I didn't pursue it - I hope I don't offend anyone by saying that as I'm guessing that for those on the thread it meant they could be less anonymous, share more personal info and photos etc in a safe and secure environment. But an open thread that people can pop in and out of doesn't present any barriers to participation and allows for lurkers (i'm guessing lots of us started out as lurkers in the beginning), who might not quite be ready to join, to follow along. Anyways, just my two bobs worth.

Hi @Tahli I'm sorry you're having a hard time with Dr M. I think you are probably correct and that she is just flat out and has been a little hasty and thoughtless in reeling off her directives. She was my FS at CFC and I found her to be a gorgeous human being - the best FS I've had by far. She is a very genuine, warm and compassionate person and made me feel so at ease... if she knew how much anxiety she was causing you my hunch is that she would be quite upset. Just as an aside, I was also on an immune protocol in SA and while she has some reservations about the immune treatment, she was fine with prescribing me some prednisone when I (stupidly) didn't have enough to get me through for the entire length of my stay... so she is not too hard-line about it. Wishing you all the very best with your transfer next week.
