Hi Girls, I've been flat out at work and not caught up on the latest 40 pages or so (will attempt to do that tonight!)
@tuxcat, I did see your Solo is growing nicely, yay, awesome work!
I was worried about today, knowing how guttered I usually feel. Last year was terrible but today, I've had a relatively nice day - markets and fish and chips at the beach with my BD, DP, and his parents. After we came home I was on FB and one of my friends had posted this which I thought was so relevant to so many of us.
    http://stillstandingmag.com/2016/05/7-ways-remember-hurting-mothers-mothers-day/
I'm sending out virtual hugs, love and a crapload of baby dust to all of you. Let's get it happening girls!!

@BIB big hugs RE Mum x so lovely you were able to have some me time though and yes well done at exDH but you deserve to be spoilt and I am glad he knows it too. @Blossom74 you sound like me I love a nice pub meal. Yummy.
Glad you had a nice time away. @Tahli how are you going hun, almost there hey. I am really hoping our scans show bug fluffy linings for both of us fingerscrossed: @tuxcat oooooohhhh I was very pleased to read your Embie update. Very nice, very nice indeed
AFM not much here to report my day 12 scan is tomorrow so I am quietly crapping myself this time last month I got cancelled I am a bit jealous of all these wines. I haven't been able to drink because of all the meds I don't like mixing any alcohol with them and I have heart burn so not really the best mix.

@Blossom74, enjoy ur decadent nite a way!

So I guess for most of us Mother's Day is bittersweet.. Loving our own mothers & wanting to celebrate our love & thanks for them- but also its a painful reminder that we don't have our own babe in arms.

I've been thinking about it all tonite, and I'm realising that even if I never hold a child in my arms, we have two little frozen embryos that we created, that are made with our love & determination, and who already mean so very much to us sight unseen.. They already hold so much promise & so many dreams for the future...

tonight I'm realising that all of us who are in here, hoping, praying, going thru IVF cycles, creating embryos.. We're all mothers.
Mother's Day is for us too.

A friend who has recently gotten her IVF bfp after lots and lots of tough times and pain, posted this video yesterday. A warning, it made me cry!! But I think the more people who share it the better.. More people should know the struggles involved in infertility.

I think it's beautiful, especially the very last line.. X

@Charlie74, thank you for that video, it's beautiful. Tears ********* down my face.

I just showed the video to my dh & now we are both crying I haven't seen him cry since his father passed away 10 years ago...

What a powerful video, it's so touching

Good luck with lining scans @Maxwellsmum and @Tahli I too reckon you'll be well "burgered up" I was hesitant to have a wine until I knew the outcome of the cycle but thought one was ok, from now I will wait to the TWW is over and if it's bfn then I know I've done all I can. Also I was wondering why brandy in particular and not just any kind of alcohol?

    also a welcome to @Lucky8
@Charlie74 I think it is hopeful but just hits the heart strings as we've all gone through so much and know how hard it is.

my PD is so wonderful, she posted a really lovely message about all the different kinds of mums on FB and included the struggling to be mums in a really thoughtful Mother's Day message.
