@Lastchance75 This is off the Sher website, so a shameless copy and paste...

"In the U.S.A., where presently there is no legislated limit placed on the number of embryos that can be transferred, the final decision as to how many embryos to transfer (within reason) is up to the fully informed patient/couple to decide. This having been said, the Hippocratic oath that we as physicians have pledged to uphold, compels us at all times to avoid knowingly doing harm to our patients. Thus for us, there should always be a self-imposed limit on the number of embryos we would be willing to transfer (in a given situation), at one time. Heaven knows…if anything positive came out of the outrageous “Octomom” debacle, it is that physicians have a responsibility to practice restraint in this regard."

@greenlady I hope your two getting tests are your golden eggs x
@faithhopellove it must be really hard for you. I can't even imagine xoI think photos would be nice especially for his or her brothers/sisters to be able to look at when they are older.
@Tahli my vjayjay says thanks for the thoughts and kind words, she has had a hard couple of days but actually the savlon has worked a treat so one less thing and I am feeling great tonight and it sounds like you are too Tahli so we must be conditioning
I hope BIB'S waters are accurate predictors of the BFP'S to come.BIB can your waters predict bub genders as well?
Man some of those stats are mind boggling 100%. Yep I would be their first BFN as well they would probably boot me out of their clinic. My DH says wazza loves me because I am a hard case even for him. I have heard all the sayings as well" don't drink the water" and I sat on the pregnancy chair as well or so everyone kept telling me back in 2014. Amazingly there was 5 pregnancies last year from that chair.
I had to listen to one of those pregnant ladies telling another pregnant lady after she had a scan something along the lines off " you see I told you the baby would be fine, no one here has ever lost their baby. You were worried about nothing" it took all my strength not to punch her in the face and tell her "yes they do lose their babies they just don' t advertise it to the frucking world when they do.

@Tahli, me that's who. I had 4 DE transfers in Aus then two in CT. Sixth time lucky with DE... @faithandhopellove what you are going through must be so, so hard. I have no idea what I would do but yes I'd hate to live with regrets. I guess you only get one opportunity..

Hi @Blossom74 thanks for thinking of me. I've been going along ok, moving on Saturday and a bit overwhelmed with appointments, packing, work, etc. just hanging out for maternity leave.

I've been reading along daily/hourly but sometimes I get so sad/angry/frustrated when things don't work out for people. I feel a bit guilty I guess. It's not fair when I was in their shoes not so long ago. I know that pain and heartbreak when some idiot announces their pregnancy and guess what they weren't even trying.

I feel bad for all the amazing ladies who put their bodies through the ringer (@tahli!) and spend what should be a house deposit or a few fantastic holidays on a failed cycle.

Every one of you here deserve your BFP and I genuinely hope it happens. By some miracle I got lucky I guess and I wish I knew what I did or how I did it and I would make sure to tell you all 😄
    Xo

Interesting article @Tahli unless it's just the clinic that won't do it but she did specifically say it was a US law. I'd probably push it more if the embryos weren't Pgd tested normal. Mind you I transferred 2 "normal" embryos last time that didn't stick. Sigh.

@Charlie74 I've just asked my CFC nurse if I can have my 2nd lining scan the day after I start my Gestone. My 2nd scan really serves no purpose other than seeing if being on estrogen for an extra week has done anything. Last cycle it only boosted it a further .5mm. Anyway I asked what happens to lining once you start on progesterone and this was her responce...
"No, it shouldn’t shrink the lining, however it changes the composition of the cells for the endometrium. It changes them from being proliferative to secretary."

She's all good now thanks Luv

I figured out it was the bloody cheese that was doing it to her. I moved from block to shredded in the packet (same brand) and her tummy can't tolerate it for some reason??

Anyhoo...it's cheese singles (which I know she can tolerate) all the way from here on in and Soy milk until she's about 3-4 then the Paed said to try cow's milk again to see how she goes as hopefully her digestive system will be more equipped/mature to handle it.

And here's a shameless copy and paste in plain frucking english for the rest of us!!!

These are great questions to discuss with your gynecologist in person. The endometrium is the lining of the uterus. It provides a fertile environment for a fetus to implant. Menstruation is the monthly shedding of the old endometrium, so that it can be replaced with a fresh layer that is optimal for a new fetus to have the opportunity to implant. The menstrual cycle consists of two phases. The first phase, under the influence of estrogen, is a proliferative phase. In other words, estrogen stimulates the endometrium to grow and thicken. While under this influence of the estrogen, the endometrium is called "proliferative endometrium," because the cells are multiplying and the tissue is growing. Once ovulation occurs (and an egg is available to be fertilized), your body secretes progesterone, which matures the endometrium and makes it the ideal hospitable environment for the fertilized egg to implant. During this phase, the endometrium is called "secretory endometrium."
