@Heyside - I've done back to back's before with a previous FS and got a better egg collection the 2nd time, but I was starting from a very low egg retrieval base (i.e. see 8-15 on scan, collect 3-9 eggs if lucky), less once we got to blasting (2-4). The FSH dosages were upped or changed to other medication, so in my case, it did feel a little of let's see what we can tweak to get a better result this time. Again, with Waz, his was different all together. He mixed different FSH on alternate days, and half dose am then half dose pm (9+ on scan, 5 eggs collected, 3 made it, 2 passed PGD). It will all come down to seeing what Wazza's advice is and if he has anything else to alter that he thinks will make a difference. Good luck with whichever decision you choose!

My pleasure honey. We had only 3 eggs but all you need is one. It was our 1st iui cycle. Our next option was ivf due to my age and ahm. But i went in positive and kept telling my partner and Wazza this is gonna work and be the one. Previously we'd been through a bit and unfortunately lost a few bubs it obviously meant to be. But here I am 18wks later with a strong little Vegemite in there.

@Rosie8888 - I am glad you have a plan in place for Wednesday I really hope it works well for you. No my medicare isn't in yet but I haven't even had my usual phone call to confirm my details yet so it will be a while yet I think. Its definately been cold today so you must be really feeling it bbbrrrrr!!!
@Kymkhyme - Welcome hun, sorry to hear you havent responded as you expected from your cycle. @Chyna is a great example that iui can work though hun for someone in your situation, her story has also encouraged a close friend of mine to try iui so definately don't give up hope. Hope your trigger went well tonight and all goes well Tuesday. If you are not ready to think about what ifs yet and next possibilities then concentrate on this cycle and it the best shot. You are still young though so hopefully this was just a one off x
@mummymaybe - Congrats on getting to transfer hun do happy for you hope the change with the pregnyl injections makes the difference for you. Good luck and positive vibes x
@mrsparso - Sounds like you had a full on day yesterday with the ball, things are never as relaxed anymore going out are they, remember when it was all about organising yourself and chilling out with a glass of bubbles haha! Hoping feeling more like yourself is a good thing but your bubba is just more settled x
@gorgeousgeorge - Lovely advice you gave to @Kymkhyme, it must have been a difficult position for you to be in but its so nice to read you being so together with your decision now and knowing it's the best journey for you. Thankyou so much for your lovely message hun you nearly made me cry, thankyou for your nice words its nice to hear that I have supported people on here, I think we are all so good at that. I definitely think its part of the grieving process for me to make a plan and prepare for next step so yes thanks for that hun. I love your idea of a little mothers group down the line too with all our beautiful bubs it will happen x

Warren could only find 1 egg 😣 has anyone else had such a low amount of eggs on what Warren said is the highest dose of gonal f he could give me? I'm booked in for an iui on Tuesday but if this doesn't work he wants me to consider using donor eggs. I'm devastated. I'm now taking cetrotide yesterday and today, doing my trigger shot tonight and hoping for the best for Tuesday. I spent yesterday in tears at the thought that I'm not producing enough eggs to do ivf if the iui doesn't work. Anyone had any experiences similar? Feeling quiet upset about it all.
@Kymkhyme sounds like my story in May except I am doing ivf. Warren did scan and two follicles after being on max dosage of 600, like you.
Yes, he told us to do donor eggs as all my "macadamias"are gone except for a quarter I got left. I told him I'm not ready for that at this stage so he said go to either the Fertility Centre in Springwood or Myivf Northlakes to do more cycles with my own eggs cheaper than he can.
Well, I'm on day 5 stims with and that's where I'm at with all this. It's devastating being told to use donor eggs when others with low AMH DO fall pregnant and give birth using their own eggs. However our chances are low and there's a point where you call it and you're done. I'm not there yet. I might be soon, but right now I'm not. Yes you most likely will have the exact same response with ivf. But who knows, really??? Hugs xx

@Kymkhyme welcome to the thread. You have come to the right place for great support and advice. I can't give much input on the egg number or donor side of things but i have had trouble with egg quality. This is my second cycle with Wazza. After getting no embryos to transfer in the 1st cycle Wazza put me on Growth hormone steroids to try and help with my egg quality. I think that combined with a few months on all of his recommended supplements helped improve our quality. We managed to get a transfer and one frozen embie. Wazza is definitely the right man for the job. He won't beat around the bush or waste your money. He'll tell you as it is and what he thinks. Wishing you luck with your current cycle that only if you have a few eggs that they are of good quality. You just need one good one!
@mummymaybe- Wishing you ask the best for your transfer on Thursday. Enjoy the valium, brandy and singing with Wazza. Fingers crossed your little frozen embie is a nice sticky one. @gorgeousgeorge- I think that's a great idea about inviting the media to our mummies group! What stories we'd have to tell.
@Heyside - A day out to Disney on ice sounds fab. I hope you had a lovely day. It's nice to just get out and do normal things for awhile to take our minds away from all of the ivf stuff. I'm glad you've managed to make decisions about how you want to progress forward if need be. You've got to put yourself and family first ahead of other commitments. That way you won't have any regrets knowing you have done everything you feel you need to. I haven't done back to back cycles so can't give any advice in that department but it sounds like there are some positives about it and if you feel ready then go for it. Will also take away the annoyance of waiting to get started again. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow for your POAS xxx
@Rosie888- I'm still waiting on our phone call and rebate from medicare too. We are desperate for the money as we are literally scrapping the last dollars out of our bank accounts to get through this month. I'm praying it comes this week! I agree with the other girls and would say the blood is just a bit of cervical irritation. But if you want further reassurance just call and chat to one of the nurses. They'll definitely let you know what they think.

AFM- I'm just counting down till blood test on Sat. It's going to be a long week. My mum got back from overseas yesterday so I'm heading over to see her today which I'm very excited about. I'm even getting a nice home cooked meal. Having her back will certainly make this week a bit easier. I've stopped trying to guess whether the transfer has worked or not. I've got no idea what's what with my body at the moment. I'll just wait for the experts to give me their professional opinion 😕 Thank goodness it's winter so i can cover up my bloated belly with baggy jumpers.

Hope everyone manages to stay warm on this very cold day ☺

@Heyside where are you at now... did you get a bfn? I 've read back but I can't seem to follow the thread. Maybe I'm just extra blonde today @gorgeousgeorge you sound like you're in a good place with your decision, that's fantastic! Have you started picking donors, yet? @Gagingi @Chyna how are you both going? Loving being pregnant, I bet @skeeter, hi, go see Charlotte if you don't want to wait too long for Warren. They work together and I am under her but have had scans done by Warren as well. She's lovely and she's delivering my future babies ha ha
Anyway, this thread moves so fast, I just can't keep up. Sorry, I know I've missed people!!! AFM Just plodding along like a pro over here, hopefully growing some eggs somewhere in there. Not really expecting much, but still hopeful number 4 might bring us a golden egg. xx

@Rosie8888 - I don't think you can do the crinone without the applicator hun just see how you go over the next few days . I got a message to say my monry should be with me in 5 days too which is good news. Hope the fact you are feeling off is a good sign x
@mrsparso - Did you feel the growth hormone worked for you this cycle hun? I actually feel it made no difference for me and I actually got less blasts. Thanks for your thoughts for tomorrow hun. Hope this week goes quickly for you it will definitely help having your mum back home, hope you get a good result on Saturday do you know how to get results over the weekend or does someone contact you?
@Tinachris - I am still waiting for official bt on Wednesday hun although I am not feeling positive so starting to plan next steps. Hope your eggs are growing nicely and you get a nice suprise with numbers at your scan and that 1 lucky golden egg.

@Heyside it's hard to say with the growth hormone but I would have to probably lean more towards it did help as last cycle we got no embies but this one we got one plus the frozen. It's hard to say how much the growth hormone contributed as I feel a few months on Wazza's supplements have likely helped too. I think if i was to cycle again I would probably use the growth hormone again if we could afford it.
I think I'm going to contact Wazza's office to find out what the process for blood tests on a Saturday is. Just incase it's different to during the week. I'm going to keep thinking positive for you hun xxx
