@Rosie888 - Never ever think that about yourself hun, we all have such different journeys and it doesn't mean anyones is any easier or harder, infertility is such a personal thing and each and every journey has its high and low points. I am presuming this will be your first child your trying for?? We conceived DD back in 2010 through ovulation induction on our second attempt and in some ways even the journey was shorter that was a much more difficult time as it was actually the point I had to come to terms with my diagnosis of pcos and infertility. Yes this time its been longer and there has been lots of low points but its just different. Hopefully work will help keep your mind off things, hope it's a good day for you x

@Rosie8888 I'd echo what @Heyside said. Your first cycle is hard. However much you try to prepare you don't know what to expect and your body is likely being exposed to medications for the first time, with all sorts of potential side effects. I know that with our first cycle I was excited, but didn't want to get my hopes up. I was also frustrated and grieving that we had to use IVF and I'd heard so many stories about the medications turning you into the devil or at least an emotional wreck (which to DH's and my delight didn't happen). Whilst Wazza is the guru he is aggressive in his approach, which will hopefully get you your BFP sooner, but it's stressful and physically demanding. Luckily he is also very supportive and empathic as well, and his nurses are awesome if you need to talk. Whilst we now know that we wouldn't have got anywhere with FS#1 it was a bit like IVF with training wheels, whereas with Wazza it is so full-on. So try not to be hard on yourself if you are finding it overwhelming.

I hope your next scan is better, but if not, I know some people cancel as that saves the QFG fees and your response this first time will inform Wazza's treatment plan for your next cycle. That said, I'd have thought 6-8 eggs at your age could well result in a bub or two. You also don't want to be overstimulated as that is absolutely awful and can be quite serious medically, so your numbers are good from that perspective.

@Heyside yeah it is trying for our first. I had a lap nearly 2 years ago to see why I got such bad periods thinking I had endo. Long story short it wasn't but they found both my tubes were completely blocked that I had 0% of ever falling naturally. Since then we bought a house and got married 23rd April this year. Saved our butts off and hear we are. What is conceived DD? Thanks again for you support and wise words. X

@gagini thanks you for your lovely words and calming me. Do you expect to lose half the eggs when collected ? I am going to go with warrens advice tomorrow. I'm just praying the smaller 2 have grown even though he didn't sound positive about them. He asked me yesterday how many kids I wanted and I said I'd love 1 for now but 2 if possible. I really wish I found you ladies sooner. I'm now on 300 gonal F a day is that average? Yeah warren said he is greedy and always like to get more eggs . Thank you again xx

@Rosie8888 I'm not sure how many eggs you'll lose. I was 42 when my eggs were collected and age is the worst factor for eggs, so my numbers aren't a good comparison. Being under 30 I imagine you'll do much better. I think 300 Gonal-F is probably as much as most doctors would give you for your first cycle, until they know how you respond. For my first cycle I was on 225, then 300 for second and third - 300 was the max my first FS would give. Wazza then had me on 450-600, but I think that was only because he had all my medical records from the first FS and knew that dose was safe. Good luck again Hun.

Hi @Rosie8888 - welcome and ditto re what the other girls have said

@Gagingi - they may have gotten word about us!!! Caroline just called and she's moved me to intralipids tomorrow instead so won't get to say after all

Hope all you girls are doing well, esp those about to start a cycle or EPU! Sending positive thoughts your way!!!

AFM - wk 2 of 3.5 bed rest. Been MIA as baby brain kicked in, had to email bubhubs admin to reset pswd x5 and lost access for a few days (sure, it could be user error, but I'm blaming a conflict when logging in via laptop vs ph app!!! that's my story and I'm sticking to it!). Anyone else had the same issue before? Would make me feel much better if it wasn't just another "me" thing!

On a side note, when I went in to see Waz the other day, whilst he had a mild case of the sniffles and post holiday blues, he full on cranked the music to rave party levels! Boy he cracks me up!!! Bit by bit, the receptions girls/nurses slowly edged it down so ppl could hear themselves. Would explain why phones sometimes don't get answered when he's on party mode!

@Rosie8888 - Sounds like you have had a lot to take on board with the knowledge of your tubes being blocked. Congratulations on your recent marriage and house buy, hopefully this cycle works out for you and you get the hat trick with the birth of a baby next year. Conceived DD just means when we conceived our dear daughter, there is a list of abbreviations somewhere for newbies to the threads, it call all be very confusing at first.

I saw you in Warrens rooms this morning with your mum, I went in after you so didn't get chance to say hello. I have EPU on Friday too so will see you at the hospital. How did your follies look this morning? I am expecting to get around 14 eggs at a push if some catch up before EPU as some are on the smaller size but Warren has given me a boost of puregon for tonight.
