The Aldi chicken Snackos are a pretty good substitute. The texture is very similar to the old potato in-a-biskit.

We bought a packet of cheese and bacon and pizza shapes last week ( our faves) i noticed it said "new & improved" on the box but didnt think much of it as i didnt think anyone could be that stupid to change them much but yeah they are BAD! Dh and i tried a couple each and threw both boxws in the bin, i shouldve taken them back for a refund but i was so bummed i made a status on facebook about it lol. The Arnotts shapes fb page is literally drowning in complaint posts, surely they will change them back.

Even dogs are refusing to eat them lol

I found a snack bag of the original BBQ shapes in the pantry tonight. In DH's work snacks box. I inhaled them and licked the flavouring out of the bag. No regrets.

Default Arnotts Shapes. What have they done?!?

After reading this thread I had to try the new shapes. I didn't think they would be as bad as everyone made out but I was wrong!!
I bought a bag of the mixed snack sized shapes. So pizza, bbq, cheddar and cheese and bacon. Bbq and pizza are foul!! Same as most others, I ate one and that was it. The bacon and cheddar I don't mind. The bacon ones kind of remind me of the old bacon 'in a biscuit' brand, not as good though. And the cheddar is just more of a 'real' cheese taste.
Anyway, it was interesting to see what they were like and I'm glad I did it lol. I'd be keen to try the new chicken crimpy to compare.
