Default Good news for older mums

    Hi everyone!

We've been contacted by the Courier-Mail in Brisbane as they're looking for someone to feature in a story they are doing ...

Is anyone able to help out?

Older mums are more likely to have smarter, more highly educated, healthier and even taller kids. With so many risks put out there for older mums finally there is some good news. I am hoping to find a mum and child/children for a story. Are you an older mum ie over 40 and happy to be in a photo with baby? Can you please email me your contact details on jackie.sinnerton @ news. com. au(without the gaps).

    Thanks!

No. If someone wants people to go out of their way to help with a story the onus should be on them to provide a little more detail on what they are doing/initially explain the sourcing of possibly divisive statements.

Agree with vp. What an offensive load of toss to put into a blurb with no back up.

I realise that. But I also highly doubt the Bubhub editor would have a clue.

Hi everyone. Yes, sorry I don't have that info. This is all Jackie sent me and I posted word for word. I'm happy to ask her for answers if you like. There'd be some research or survey that they're using as the basis for the story. It will probably be all over the papers/news in a couple of days in any case. But if you're keen for a spoiler I can certainly ask the question.

    Thanks!

A big study with these conclusions recently came out, it's been featured on a lot of parenting/health science/sociology/psychology blogs.

And before anyone gets too offended, remember that parenting studies only find that certain outcomes are more likely with certain factors (in this case, older mothers).
That in no way means that if you're a younger mother your parenting sucks or you're guaranteed to be good if you're an older mother.

Woo hoo!!! Older mum doing happy dance here!! I can now sit back and relax and wait for all this to come to me. I like the idea of taller kids. Thank goodness i waited to procreate so they won't have the pesky problems of hemming jeans that I've had my whole life. Phew!!!
