Default Have you been induced for any of these reasons??

So I have posted before about being induced socially, but was helped to realise that the I diction would be more medical than social...

So I have 32 wks app with ob on Tuesday, and would really like to go in confident in asking for an induction.

Anyone been induced for one or more of these reasons????,

    Reasons for induction:
    •Large babies (8p10, 9p13, 9p) no GD
•Preg induced hypertension with no resulting PE - already started
    •Prev shoulder distotia
    •Prev PPH
    •Quick labours (last one was 1 1/2hrs)
    •1 hr drive to hospital
•continual tightenings after any kind of movement. All day everyday
•constant shortness of breath, making everyday tasks near impossible
    •headaches nearly every night
•3 previous children to get care for, which means having MIL meet us at the hospital
•Anxiety about being stuck on the side of the road bleeding out or with baby stuck.
•The ambulance takes a minimum of 20 mins to get to our house (we have had the ambulance there before) then add another 45-1 hr to get to main hospital.

Was it recommended or did you ask for it??
I had it for weeks last bub and I was screaming to be Induced, but no one would even consider it.
Bub ended up being born in a bag of meconium, which I think was due to that.

    How old are you?
I had one due to being almost 40 at the time and having other children at home to be cared for/starting school with no family assistance.

They would have easily let me go another week but I was keen to book it in and know what was ahead rather than wait day to day while alone caring for two children.
Plus I had fast births. This with my age was enough for them to say yes.

My first and second were induced for being overdue. My 4th was induced due to being overdue and 4kg+ babies previously. My 3rd was booked for induction but came two days before it on her own.
If we have a 5th like we plan, I will be asking for induction due to history and being over 3 hours from hospital as my one spontaneous labour was 3.5 hours long.

Hi op. I have not been induced so sorry but I'll leave that to some others but I just wanted to suggest you watch your iron levels. Shortness of breath is a sign of anemia and anemia increases your risk of pph. Good luck. X

Thanks rcs. Didn't actually know that. And we have family history of low iron levels.
Might get Dr to test my levels.

I was induced for pregnancy induced hypertension with no resulting PE. Induced at 37+2 but induction took several days so had her evening of 37+5. This was in England though.
