9 days past 5 day transfer. Embryos are grown out to 2,3 or 5 days and transfered back then the countdown is on until you can do a BT (Blood Test) so 9dp5dt means they are 9 days after a 5 day embryo was transferred.

Other common ones are BFP = big fat positive and BFN = big fat negative. DH = darling husband. DS = darling son ect.

WOW there are so many codes. What are FRER tests? I'm guessing they have something to do with home pregnancy tests. I didnt think you could use home pregnancy tests whilst doing ivf cause of all the hormones they use but i have seen a lot of ladies talking about them with those 9dp5dt codes so does this mean they can sometimes give you an earlier answer???

Yes the ivf trigger injection mucks around with the hpts (home pregnancy tests) so some girls wait two weeks very patiently and get a blood test..now you can test with a hpt if you want and you would get a false positive which would be the trigger injection and keep testing everyday ...fx (fingers crossed) the test stays positive. It might even fade then come back for some ladies meaning they have a BFP otherwise you do a hpt test and the second line starts to fade and stays that way meaning bfn.
