To add... @emski72 was one of the Lovelies whom I was hanging out with at the time I was Cycling/got my BFFP & who was supportive of me doing a TET😊
@Tahli I've been quietly following along and cheering from the sidelines for you. It's lovely how things just turn around and opportunities happen for lovely people like u. As for that other lady, I saw her critical post on the other thread and the first feeling that I picked up from her was jealousy. She's riddled with it.
@emski72 I waved hello to you as I drove past your street yest! And also thought of you when I saw a profile of an ED a few days ago. Her baby pics reminded me of your little poppet. I think it was the stunning hair/eye combo!!
It doesn't surprise me you blocked her. I almost took the bait and responded to her this week, saying how hurtful her comments were to those of us having to go back to CT several/many times but decided not to wade in as I'd already had a super teary week. She's obviously missing the sensitivity gene.
I've already signed CFC's Consent Form to transfer 3 embryos. Dr W & his nurse never questioned my request. The embryos are 1 x B3AB and 2 x B2B. A penny for your thoughts?
Well, I survived lunch. Just. MIL was as painful as ever, but luckily for me I didn't have to talk too much as she was constantly talking about herself. There wasn't a second unaccounted for!
It was a good hour and a quarter drive there and back so by the time we got home I was knackered. This was my reward for being pleasant to her:-
Bl00dy delicious it was too
A bit knackered for personals, but I did want to say to@Infinity.... I think there's nothing else for it. You're gonna have to POAS every day now to see if your line gets darker!
Hugs to all,
Why would anyone be judgmental about putting in more than one embryo ?
They don't have to deal with the twins.
We aren't doing octomum here ..
And besides there are some of us who don't have any kids at all and would be happy if they were given the chance with one or two.
God help that women if she started on me in this situation.
Although tonight I'm trying to stay relaxed for Little Han Solo to be getting super comfy and strong in there now
@Tahli I know of two triplet IVF births.
1. 3 gorgeous girls - parents (GP and OT - very fit) with OE in mid 30s, multiple IVF attempts. Transferred two and one split. Kids are good although parents have held them back from starting prep as they felt they weren't ready, but never heard or noticed any mention of issues. They are thinking of going for number 4, but DH wants a one-only guarantee .
2. Not such a happy story. IVF in HK mother late 20s. It was recommended they have a reduction, but refused. Came back to Australia and kids born early. All survived. Family refused to turn off life support when recommended for one of the bubs. Weeks/months in NICU. All three ended up with significant disabilities and grandparents had to quit work to help as carers...
What are the stats for a women the donor's age? Could you cope with twins?
Oh I almost forgot -
A very old friend of mine is a naturopath and fertility specialist in Melbourne.
She's noticed a lot of the Ivf patients are cut off and need a bit more support and space to talk with like minded people so she's running a weekly group on Thursdays for 4 weeks to chat.
Would help to not feel so isolated and with emotional support.
As well as some stress related work I think.
It would be with people of similar length of time trying.
Message me if your interested and I can pass on the details.
It's Charmaine Dennis at Fertile Ground in East Melbourne.
