I'm concerned though that those follies are already so big so stimming tonight and tomorrow night is going to fry my eggies. I've contacted the FS again (oops) and asked her to check my scan results from the nurse and get back to me tomorrow.
Thanks for the response ladies ... I was given Amlodipine by the hospital ... I am not sure it is the progynova ... the BP machine took 3 times to read my BP on each occasion ... they got a manual one out and it dropped. I have bust blood vessel marks on my arm where the cup was hmmmm
talk about putting a girl in to a tail spin ... I was so upset they were saying I needed to stop the medication and I might not be able to fly and of course the tears came rolling down I called DH and he came to the hospital and was asking what was high
I am home now and need to go back tomorrow to be checked I am gonna make sure they do it manually and with the bigger cup for my bingo wing arms!!!!
I contacted the clinic via email and they said they have never heard of it as a side effect. talk about making peoples blood pressure rise
Thanks again for those that responded really appreciate it ... feel a bit like a numpty now though
@tegs26 do you know what your actual reading was. If they use the wrong size cuff can increase by up to 30 mmol. If they use a machine instead of manual it would also be in accurate with most machines by at least 20mmol. If it was above 140/90 fo a sustained period like wks then be a little concerned. Also bp is regulated by kidneys so do you have any kidney issues or dehydration can also cause it to go up. Anyway if you have any other questions just let me know
@Infinity I was there for 2.5 hours first reading was on machine and was 180/100 the machine pumped up the cuff 3 times and I was jumping out of my skin. 2nd one was 191/100 again 3 times to get machine to read it ... 3rd time 202/120 this time 4 times to read and I nearly ripped it off my arm it hurt so much. 4th time they used a bigger cuff manually and it was 161/90. They gave me 1/2 amlodipine and then again about 10 mins before I was allowed to go.
I have only ever had one high bp before when I had my lap in Nov last year when the nurse in her wisdom put the cuff across my forearm and again that took 3 times to read.
Thanks soooo much for all your help
