Hi girls hope you don't mind me popping into your thread. I actually just did a DE cycle in Hawaii which was a bfn. We had 44 eggs collected with 26 fertilise of which we Pgd tested 15 and had 12 normal. Put back 2, how the hell did that not work??

Anyway you ladies have a lot of knowledge so hoping someone could help me. They have suggested a hysterscopy before next transfer. I have already had this done and a lap about a year ago, would I really need another one? I also fell pregnant last August with OE but lost it so had D and C so it's not like I can't get pregnant it was just an egg quality issue due to age.

Anyone know if you can get your embryos shipped to Australia?

Thanks to @Chiefsgirl for all her help and info on De too. Hope things settle down for you at home. Once you get in a routine you'll be fine.

@Chiefsgirl no apology needed. So great to hear you're at home and bub is settling into a routine.
@amie999 Yay for the growing embie.
@CAEserdust you get some good numbers. Those eggs in the teens sound good.

I don't know anything until my nurse calls this afternoon with blood results as they said that will give a better picture of what's going on. She said my scan results were 'interesting'. She said I'd probably be looking at Epu on Anzac Day. So I don't think they'd scan again.
@Caesardust Oh, they'd be triggering you soon with those size follies! It's always disappointing to not get the numbers you hope for or usually get but yeah we'll see what EPU brings and hope those low teens have some eggs too. I was put on a long regulation to get more even follicle growth, don't know if you have tried that?

@Lastchance75 have you been tested for immune issues? I have had a previous pregnancy in 2012 but this year had 2 PGD normal ED embryos fail (two different FETs) and was tested then treated (clexane, prednisone, intralipids)and the 3rd FET worked.

Welcome @Lastchance75! I'm sorry for your negative result. I'm guessing you've already been down the immune testing route with Dr M in Sydney?

@Bongley and @Tahlia no I have not been tested for immune issues. I was on clexane and pred for this De cycle which I've never been on before. I didn't think I had immune issues as I was only pregnant mid last year. I was then wondering if I was on too many meds that weren't necessary. I don't know. It's all so hard to know. What does the Intrapilids do?

@aime999 super excited for you @Vijxc congrats on your bfp @tuxcat yippee happy jabbing luv @Caesardust i think 5 excellent quality at least
@cheifsgirl enjoy your baby girl and thank you for your updates.
@lastchance i believe intralipids knock off the nkc cells. Hence needing multiple intralipid treatments.

@Caesardust - try not to worry about the number. It's all about quality and I am a testament to that. Had day 8 scan this morning and have about 22 follies again but doesn't make me feel optimistic given that I've been here 3 times before and got no normal embryos out of any of them. It's hard because you consistently here the chant - it's a numbers game and so we focus on numbers. But I'd rather have 4 follies with one good one than 22 with none.

"Intralipid treatment has been shown to lower the activity of the NK cell component of our immune system, allowing the embryo to implant on the uterine wall and grow normally. New research has suggested that women who have experienced recurrent miscarriages or multiple failed IUI or ART cycles as a result of NK cell activation may benefit from the use of intralipid."

    http://nextgenfertility.com.au/patient-information/intralipid-infertility/

@lastchance75 My doc (at Genea) was happy enough to prescribe the clexane and prednisone (25mg a day) but he was on the fence I think with intralipids and threw in a basic protocol to cover all bases. You may just have been unlucky, there are a lot of us that certainly don't nab it on the first few goes.

Some other ladies here may have suggest some other things you can try......
