Congratulations gagingi so excited for you.
Those numbers are awesome. I was right I said 200 plus I am calling it I am the POAS levels number guru. congrats again=Gagingi;8465134]Thanks ladies. BT has confirmed our BFP. HCG 231 and prog 46.5.
I'm now celebrating by having intralipids!
@Gagingi I've just smeared your card all over my tummy. I figure it has to full of babydust, right??! You must look like a Cheshire cat while being pumped full of soy and eggs!!! Happy days!!!!! Does DH know yet?
@Bongley I'm guessing you've had your 20 wk scan and all's well with Manchego? Any peak it his/her gender? A rescan in 2 weeks...are you ok? I'm sorry you're feeling like crud. Is a second pregnancy when you're that bit older really hard work on your body, plus managing an active boy?
Tahli yes, he's all good, I've known the gender since I asked the embryologist at the transfer at xmas, I have no patience and I have seen the willy confirming it at the 15 week scan. I've got loads of scans as I am high risk due to my age.
I really think it's just the way my body has reacted to the pregnancy rather than age, I was 40 by the time I popped out DS1 and that was a great pregnancy from the get go, so this has thrown me. I didn't know what my younger UTD friends were complaining about so karma has bitten me on the butt! (Still my fatigue is nothing compared to the morning sickness, pubic bone dysfunction (spd), carpal tunnel, swelling, high BP and gestational diabetes they suffered!!!) Also yes having a 3 yr old to entertain doesn't help, I just feel like I could lie down on the couch all day. Thank goodness I work from home 2 days a week.... I mourn my fitness levels as all the stress and IVF knocked that on the head last year. I can see why IVF-ers are at a higher risk of PND, you are starting off already emotionally and physically drained despite finally achieving a bloody miracle!
So no, I think its down to more luck (and fitness) than age. I'm still planning to work up to 38 or 39 weeks.
