YAY @infinity888 awesome!! enjoy the druggy haze xx
@Tahli isn't that the drug they give for adenomyosis to suppress it? I thought it put your body into a menopausal state in order to reduce the bulky uterus?

Yep, that's it @tuxcat. Apparently you can use it instead of the Evil Spray (Synarel). xx

@Summer yes awake for both. Twilight sedation was local anesthetic and fentanyl. Awake but drug sleepy. My epu for today was gas and valium although i sneak in an endone as well. Awake and drug haze. Only uncomfortable really and over in 2mins per egg.

@Summer I've been awake for.... 8 of my 12 EPUs and it's totally fine. If you're in pain let them know and they'll give you more of the good stuff.

You are so brave, I don't think I could do it, I might have to change FS again to find one who does EPU under GA, damn it :-(
@Bongley I'm a real sook so would want to be knocked out for anything - I don't think I could do EPU awake, I am in pain with a Pap smear, so can't imagine what happens in EPU...

@Summer I would just talk to your FS and tell them how you feel, I too have only ever had the twilight sedation and just tell them you're in pain if it comes to that, which it has only once when they were finding it hard to get to one of my ovaries. Otherwise its just a nice haze and you don't really remember a lot after it. Kind of awake but like you're half asleep.

@ange1111 Im not sure how many cycles you've done and your age but I used to think it was a numbers game and that eventually i would get there, however now Im not sure. Perhaps if you had unlimited money and emotional will to keep on going and going maybe it would eventually work but most of us get to the point that we need to move on in some way, whether donor eggs or decide to give up all together.
Ive done a lot of cycles but like you I only get 1 embryo mostly, a couple of times 2 so the numbers game isn't very easy on us. If you were getting 3 or more embryos per stim cycle then maybe the chances would be better. The advice from my FS about PGD is that she wouldnt touch our embryos as theres simply not enough and you might as well transfer when theres only 1. She works at Genea but I guess its only 1 opinion.

i know what you mean about being frustrated about not transferring any earlier than day 5 and if you've only got a couple on the go then why not just put them in earlier. I know that my FS and clinic only do single transfers so they will always hold out to day 5 unless you have 1 in which case you get a day 3. I don't know if it makes any difference, as they would all be doing earlier transfers if the stats were there. But I think we just want to try something different to see if it helps. They also don't do double transfers as they don't see multiple pregnancies as a good outcome, its a high risk pregnancy that they try and avoid.

This is our last cycle with my eggs and then we are moving on to donor eggs. I cant see the point in flogging a dead horse, Im 42 and we had to draw the line somewhere. Everyone's line is different (and the line can move) but Ive been doing IVF now since 2012 and frankly I just want a baby.

I don't know if thats helps? You could try and freeze your embryos from a stim and then get them to do a FET even without testing it, would that be satisfying that question in your mind?
