    Default Pregnant and freaking out!!

I'm currently 6+3 and freaking out about having a miscarriage.
I have had a successful pregnancy which resulted in my 2 y.o and a miscarriage in January which began around the 7 week mark.
I'm too scared to join a DiG incase I jinx myself, too scared to buy the healthy mummy pregnancy smoothie incase I jinx myself etc etc.
I hate all of this uncertainty, it drives me insane!! Probably doesn't help that I have 2 weeks off work so have a bit more time to think about it all.
Sorry for the vent, thanks for reading!! Let's hope the next 6 weeks fly by!

Sorry for your loss, it's only natural now you'd be feeling extra anxious after having suffered a very recent miscarriage.
There are so many positive rainbow baby stories and diaries out there 😃
Good luck, wishing you a smooth and uneventful 9 months.

I had a miscarriage around the same gestation, in between my 2 successful pregnancies. I too felt super anxious and was scared to tell anyone or get excited in case it happened again.

    What helped me:
I had a really good supportive OB who let me come in for as many early scans as I needed to put my mind at ease. I had one at 6 and 7 weeks. She also ordered blood tests 2 days apart as soon as I got my bfp. I felt more confident with each subsequent scan.

I tried to put my mind off it as much as possible until 12 weeks, just telling myself there wasn't a thing I could do and to be patient until my next scan etc. I lived my life as normally as possible - even though MS made it hard.

I confided in a close friend so I didn't feel completely alone. I waited to join a DIG as had joined too early last time and it did my head in.

Hope this helps - it's normal to feel anxious.

I can't get into my OB until around 11 weeks 😫. I went to my GP who is fantastic and she sent me for bloods but didn't do a HCG on purpose. During my pregnancy with my son I had early bleeding and then the miscarriage so she said not to worry about the numbers this time because it causes me more stress.
I have a dating scan booked for next Thursday, I should be 7+5 (my at wasn't regular after the miscarriage so not 100%) so hopefully I will see a healthy Bub then!
I'm too scared to even tell a friend, lucky for bubhub!! I had only told 2 friends of my miscarriage and again didn't want to jinx by telling anyone about this lol.
    So tricky!

Fair enough. I am very much a need to know person, but if numbers stress you then you're doing the right thing. It's no guarantee anyway. Best of luck with your scan - chances are good everything will be fine. Try not to think about it until then. I'd be staying off bubhub and keeping very busy. I was lucky I had just started an intense Uni course when I got my bfp. I literally didn't have time to overthink it!

I am also a need to know person. I've always had bloods every 48 hours or thereabouts (10 losses).
This time I'm being conservative and having them only on Monday's and Fridays.
I used the CB digital with weeks indicator in between to see if it kicks up a level.
Im only 4w3d so have a long way to go. I knew at exactly 3w so this is going to be a looooong pregnancy.

Wishing you all the best for your scan :-)

I think not regularly testing HCG is a good idea, unless there is a reason to do it.

I had a missed miscarriage in feb, with lots of HCG tests after some spotting. I just found these added to the stress. With my first pregnancy, I had no HCG tests done and it was much less stressful.

Next time I get pregnant, I'm planning on not testing HCG unless there's a reason, and even then, I think I'll
Go through my ob instead of GP

Thanks everyone! I've got to get through the next week and a half of school holidays and then I'll be back at work with my busy Kindergarten class, hopefully making time fly!
Thank you for your well wishes, it made me feel better just writing about it!

Dammit! I had a little brown spotting last night/this morning. Only when I wipe and not every time but still.. I hope it's not the start of anything 😫
