Absolutely. My mum lets people treat her like cr@p. She normally does it without complaining but everyone has their breaking point. I can't change her personality, can only make suggestions on what she should do. Whether she listens to or follows up on my advice is not in my control. Hence I am getting her trusted friend to step in and hopefully have more luck than me.

I have enough of my own shiz to deal with atm. I think I am also angry that because of her shiz at work she doesn't have the time or energy to help me atm when I am struggling. Or maybe it's mutual - I don't have the time it energy to help her at present.

I hope it goes well with your mum's friend and I think you're really kind trying your best to intervene. It's frustrating watching someone accept cr@p isn't it? I wonder what advice your mum would give you if you were in the same situation - maybe ask her and see what she says!
