At no point did I ever say that nor imply it.

I just said my children go to sleep quietly.

There was no and there is no judgment.

I am enjoying the bedtime story DH and DS are sharing.

It was a free bedtime book that I got in the freebie stuff from the hospital. And has a few short bedtime stories.

One of them is saying 'goodnight' to a bunch of things. DS is copying DH. Except for the page with body parts where he added 'goodbye wee wee'.

I had to try not to laugh as DD just fell asleep on my shoulder lol.

Turquoise coast when my middle child was about 3 weeks old I had had enough one night. It was late, he had been attached to the boob all night, my eldest had had no mummy time that day, I was exhausted. Completely exhausted.

You know what I did? I made sure he was fed and clean and put him in his bassinet so I could have a few minutes to myself. You know what happened? He grizzled for a few minutes and by the time my cuppa was mad he was asleep.

This baby is now almost 4. He still falls asleep best when left along. Some kids are like that. Some need a boob to fall asleep. Some need the light on.

If he isn't getting distressed and you know what he is crying for then do what works.

you said there is no judgement. reading your original response to my initial post, I think there is judgement.

and you weren't really responding to my initial question. you responded with that you definitely wouldn't do "that" to a 7 week old.

    the post reeks of judgement.

I did cc with my 8 week olds . I knew their different cries. I'd give them a few mins to whimper etc and see what they did. I never let them full on howl but it didn't hurt them to have a little cry.

Everyone parents differently. There's no right or wrong way.
It's a hard job and we all try and do what's best for our family.

My hospital seemed to give out a bucketload of mostly useless stuff.

I had a bounty bag, some other bag and a bag of 'organic and pretty much crunchy mummy' stuff.

In it was a bedtime book.

Pretty much 99% was thrown out though lol.

I was surprised to see I got a free pouch of pureed food. I am a little wtf am I supposed to do with this for 6 months???

I am amused by my four year old. He said "Mum, could I please see your fagina?" When I asked why, he replied "Because I'm drawing your picture and I want to draw ALL of you!".

DH was quietly animated for a while (to not wake up DD). Then when holding DD he tried to sing her to sleep with the Lions song lol.

Been a while since we heard it. To top it off Carlton needs to win. But they won't!
