Thry know im pregnant i am furious. He is on salary and has a company car they are going to offer him wages and take the care from him. Do you know how i find out if he is entitled to a redundancy package payout as such or by them offering him another role does that get them off the hook of paying. Also if he rejects the offer they put forward to him which we know is going to be much worse than he receives does he forfeit hos right to a redundancy package?

Hi Meshell- that really sux- sorry you guys are going through this. To my knowledge a position is made redundant when it is no longer needed anymore- so will they be paying your DH to do the same job? I would have a look at the Fair Trading website and get a little bit of info, also did they give your DH any paperwork? What is written in his original employment contract? Generally there is a section on redundancy in there or even on the intranet (if they have one) in the HR section is where he may be able to find some info on the company's redundancy policy. Hope that helps cheers Ruby xo

Hey Meshell, it's happening here too, lots of hiding when some like like HR comes around. In my company if u are offered another role n refuse u still get the redundancy payout but maybe different. Hope u get the best outcome for your family - got everything crossed for u
