    Default Family Day Care question

I have a quick question about family day care. I know in long day care centres its pretty standard to charge even if you're on holidays or absent.
Is thelis generally the case in family day care arrangements?
I am a teacher so there's 10-12 weeks per year that I can be flexible about my working hours and just wondering how it all works ☺

Oh, and a second question. What generally happens when a FDC educator is sick or on holidays?

Yes you still pay, unless you can find someone willing to allow you flexibility but as a general rule you pay as uwould do ib a centre. If they are sick then the scheme will usually try ad find another fdc carer but this sometimes is not always possible

I have a friend who was always taking days off because her fdc lady was sick. It's one of the reasons we decided to go wth a centre.

As PP said - we pay for our absences at FDC. If our carer is unwell/away the head office offer another carer.
