Yep, it's quite sad that she has had so much done for her that she doesn't have basic life skills 😞 I give her credit for trying to improve that though.

I have no idea why Jono came on this show. He obviously is not mature enough emotionally yet. He is a bit painful to watch.

Jono is cracking up over trivial things, but it seems like she's encouraging the situation.

I'm similar to him, in the sense that I can fire up over seemingly small issues, but it only happens if people keep pushing my buttons. If I'm getting to that point, I just need a bit of time out and I'm fine.
I'm not at all saying that she's to blame or anything, but it's all about learning how the other person is and both making an effort to work with that. For example, I let dh know when I need to disengage for a bit and he then respects that, instead of trying to keep going.

I imagine with Jono there's a lot of editing happening to make him come across a certain way. Otherwise it's just boring isn't it?

If not then maybe it's the stress of the situation. I have no idea how I would react to being married "at first sight" and that being recorded for tv.

I just caught up... I honestly don't think Jono is that into Clare. I think he'd be much for flexible, kind etc if he was.

And I don't think Clare deserves him. She can do much better.

I agree. She's at him constantly! And showed little if no empathy at his fear and then turned it against him when he'd had enough.

Has anyone noticed that the woman with Jono is very, very insecure and lacks self esteem herself? When the first episode aired, I was listening to her go on about how she hoped she would fit the bill and all the while I was asking, well what do YOU want? She's frightened of being left on the shelf. I wouldn't mind betting that she's either been hurt very badly or has been told in her early years that she wasn't good enough and she believes it.

Jono has a template but he was willing to budge from it which was promising. But he has a bit of growing up to do. Spent too much time on his own I think.

Both of them are broken and it's why they've been single for so long. Agreed, very painful to watch.

I agree. I was struck by how devastated she was last night after their fight. She has so much riding on this working out and seems very vulnerable.

I agree too. I don't actually think she's truly 100% ready for a relationship. Until she resolves her self esteem issues and lack of confidence she will fall into the same pattern. She would actually be more attractive to Jono if she was totally happy within herself. Confidence and self love are very attractive to others. Insecurity, jealousy and low self esteem are very unattractive and off putting.
