    Simone is annoying.
I can't believe she said that she'd be willing to end things with Xavier if her mother didn't warm to him! Really? The fact that her mum's opinion would impact so heavily on her relationship seems really odd to me. She's in the marriage, not her mother, can't she go with her own feelings? Weird.

Yes that seemed very abnormal to me, but I figured maybe it's just because I'm estranged from my mother so maybe I just don't "get" how it would normally be. So I'm glad someone else said it.
Her other comment bugged me too. The one about "oh I guess it's back to being predictable" or something like that. I know she feels in the cutsie dating stage but they are simulating a marriage. A lot of marriage, in my experience, is predictable. Days run into days of the same mundane stuff, but that's what makes it comfortable. Maybe that's just me though. I like my relationship being comfortable and easy.

Oh. And since when is 26 "young". Both for Xavier getting asked about that by Simones parents and Erin when talking about it with Regard to Bryces parents. They all made it seem like it was outrageous that 26 year olds could be happy being married or having children so young. Erin I suppose was just suggesting it was young for HER to be having kids but I'm not sure what the deal with Simones parents was. Maybe I'm biased though. My third child was conceived on my 25th birthday, which was also my Hens night for my wedding that was a few weeks later haha.

i get a distinct "losing interest" vibe from xavier. His response was so weird "as long as she is under my care" - to me that sounds like "I'll finish this experiment and then I'm outa here with all the groupies that would have seen me by now". The not romancing thing to me is part of that. DH and I have been together for two years and we still do date nights - because *he* enjoys romancing the woman he loves.

i get a similar vibe from chrissie's mark - but more like resignation, like he hates to see her stressed out.

jono and Claire - oh dear. Did anyone notice how desperately she dressed for the dinner? Rocking up at the shack in the turquoise heels was so out of place. And the only to show cleavage at the dinner. It was just odd cause all the happy couples went for a wifey look.

erin and Bryce - I cannot believe the experts did not confirm couples are aligned re wanting kids. That is such a show stopper!

Oh that was the first thing I said to MIL, whose house we were watching it at. How do relationship psychologists skip over that?? One person wanting 4 kids and the other wanting 2 can be compromised on to a degree. But one wanting kids and the other not at all, that's just a recipe for disaster. There is no middle ground. You can't have half a kid.

I think Erin is just too fresh out of living at home to be ready for kids, she feels that there's so much to experience before that happens. She didn't completely rule it out, so she probably just needs time. Bryce is still very young, it's not like he has a biological clock ticking. He needs a chill pill.

I'm also unsure about Xavier. I tend to agree that he may just be in it for the fame. He's a 'pretty boy' so I'm very sceptical. But I hope I'm wrong for her sake. Though I think she's expecting too much too soon from him, and going off at him is going to be a major attraction killer.

I said to DH that Xavier is off. Thinks he's some kind of smooth operator and he's a real knob.
