You've given this thread a hosing down in cold water, at least to me. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚I'm in almost exactly the same position as the OP (79er, 2 boys, tossing up a third) and really hadn't thought past preschool years. I teach teenagers but still can't imagine having them in my house!

I should take some responsibility for derailing the thread. I was a bit tired and over sensitive yesterday and I think I was reading too much into people's posts.

    sorry for crashing the thread.

    as you all were! ☺️

Wait until he's on solids. You'll need truck loads more paper towels. And that's after you've used up all your terry cloths πŸ˜‚

I bought a pack of cloth nappies at Kmart but use these as general spew rags, change mat/cot/bassinet protectors (like if he spews or craps himself and it leaks, it can leak on the cloth rather than the sheet/change mat cover).

there's no way in hell I've got the patience for cloth nappies. must be showing my age again πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Haha. Most of our DIG Oct 2015 use cloth. And all but 2 mums from both my playgroups.

Yes I use MCN and old fashioned flannel flats. Plus I have about 50 Terry towels for spews etc. Face washers are great to use instead of paper towels. I have about 30 of those. Plus we use handkerchiefs instead of tissues.

All inherited bar MCN from my MIL

That was me πŸ˜„ and trust me cheap by comparison to braces, prescription glasses, orthotics, school fees, sports club fees & equipment, first cars (even with their contribution), food food food and don't get me started on the teenage growth spurts 2 weeks after you have bought all new school uniforms, school shoes, sports shoes - replacing the practically brand new stuff from the previous growth spurt!

I kid you not DS1 once went up 4 shoe sizes in under 6 months 😱
