    Congrats mumma @NizzleRizzle!

I hope you have a speedy recovery from the delivery of your precious chubba bubba.

Sorry to hear the induction was difficult. I was fortunate that the gels worked for me straight away (hope they did for you too) but they did say contractions are much stronger in inducements not that I had anything to compare - but I can relate to that painful side of things.

I hope you settle into parenthood well. It really is a roller coaster like they say, but totally worth every special moment!

I'd love to see a pic of your beautiful Bub if you are happy to share.

What did you end up naming him?

Well here he is! He's quite jaundice due to the traumatic birth but not enough to keep him in hospital. He has been feeding so well which has helped.

So I was not dilated at all on Friday so they skipped the gel and inserted a catheter to open the cervix. Then waters were broken and were mecomium stained so bubs was monitored continuously. He decided to turn also so that his back was on my back. 12 hours later with painful back contractions I was only 4cms dilated so was given an epi and the drip cranked to max which got things moving however after pushing for 2 hours with baby's head right there but not coming out, an episiotomy was done (I had partially torn anyway) and vacuum used. Vacuum was unsuccessful after numerous attempts and bubs went into distress so was rushed for an emergency c section. Bubs born shortly after with a very sore head from the vacuum and I lost lots of blood. Was given a blood transfusion and bubs taken to NICU for monitoring.
