@rockalee i'm so sorry to hear that you're not getting support right now.
Its terribly straining and very upsetting while you're going through the cycle too.
    Guys are really stupid sometimes.

I had some very big problems with my partner ( not just due to the ivf his business broke down) and he wasn't supportive at all so now i'm going it alone.
Its hard when the person you're with isn't as invested.

4 eggs isn't bad as its the quality really that counts.
Hope your fertilization goes well todayand i think if you want this for your life go for it

    @everyone
Be really interested in hearing who's doing the interview and the agenda they are pushing. I do editing for film and tv - they can twist your words and its all for the purpose of the story they are telling.
I'd just make sure your idea of what the message is aligns with theirs.
Anon would be safest option possibly.

Loved that Ep of HOC !

@tuxcat yes, I have my scan this afternoon I've started feeling some movement and I have a doppler so I know things are ok as far as that goes.

Oh I just listened to that link you posted and it brought tears to my eyes, what amazingly eloquent women. I think that really nailed the intense sadness and grief but also provided hope at the end there too. The older lady who said she felt alienated twice by her friends first having kids and then grandchildren really broke my heart though.... and 'You don't just get over it, it's not flu, it's for life.'

I am going to send that to my friends I think, think we all need to be reminded of what other people are (potentially) going through.

    .
I know - thats the one thing that stood out for me too, its something I had never considered. Yes it is all quite moving isn't it, I was in tears. Good idea re sending it to your friends, I hadnt thought of that, don't quite think I could do that at this stage but would like to when I feel I can handle any kind of reply. I avoid that particular group of my friends so will leave it til Im preggars!!!

    YAY for the movement!!

Dh has been asking a lot about our PD which has been really nice. Did I mention I love her?! All going well still! I think Ive been so wrapped up in that that Ive forgotten Ive still got one more go left with my eggs. And going into it with a new approach so who knows. Wont be betting any money on it though!!

Funny though.. Even listening to the first 10munutes I noticed that it was giving me a very uncomfortable feeling... Strange.. But it felt like it was a window into the future. I almost wanted to just stop it and not listen to anymore & therefore not have to think about what they were saying because just listening to the women felt painful. I will listen to the rest of it when I'm alone though. Thanks for sharing it X
its confronting, and maybe better to listen to at home on a good day. You need to be able to cry if you feel it I think, and it will hit home because here we all are.

    xx

Oh my gosh, how exciting! Good luck hon, not that you'll need it - I'm sure everything's just fine

Sorry, I have to ask another of BSQ's (Blossom's Stupid Questions!) But what does it actually feel like when your baby moves inside you?

    I just can't imagine it!

We're planning an FET in August, pending my lining responding of course.

However, we have an appt with Wazza on Sept 8. And I've started wondering if we should hold off on an FET till we see him?

On one hand I figure if my lining is ok & im doing Dr M's immune protocols then we may as well get stuck in and just do the transfer.. And by the time were due to see Wazza we'll know if it has worked or not. And if not, then I'd be pretty keen to do our possibly last OE cycle with Wazza rather than with LB/Monash.

Another little part of my brain is scared that this one little PGD normal embie might be our only chance of a biological baby. I was 40.5 for that EPU, whereas doing another cycle later this year i'll be almost 42.. And so am a bit nervous of doing anything with that embie.. Makes me wonder if we should see Wazza first before transferring it. But then other than trying to ensure my lining is thick enough he probably isn't going to add anything remarkably different for an FET anyway is he?? The big difference with him would probably be in doing a whole new stim cycle?

Obviously id prefer to get things going earlier too.. And I guess if my lining is ok and immune meds on board, maybe it IS better to just try the FET & be able to draw a line under it if it doesn't work. And start fresh with Wazza?

    Thoughts?

OK, if it were me and I had a normal PGD tested emby and my lining was nice and thick and fluffy, I wouldn't care if I had an appointment with the Pope to discuss things - that emby would be going in! You don't look a gift horse in the mouth like that, especially when you've had lining issues before!

By the time you get around to seeing Wazza you'll know the answer either way anyway, and potentially you could cancel close to the day if you were UTD and feeling good anyway.

@Charlie FWIW I would stick to your current plan and transfer the embie under your current FS. Go see Wazza if you still need to and start a fresh cycle with him if you need to. It gets too stressful changing tact in the middle of something, your current FS has been pretty good and has a good reputation yeah? She's doing all she can to get your lining right and as much as I know he has a good reputation if he was getting every woman pregnant we would all be there by now. Unfortunately it is a gamble but its no less of one with a different FS. If she wasn't so great then it would be worth considering. HTH

Just a super dooper quick popping in.. @Charlie74 I've just made an apt to see Wazza in case, after my financial settlement, I'd like to do a final hurrah with my own eggs.
I was fully expecting an end of the year apt. I was offered an apt in Feb next year. He's had a rush on new patients. Apparently not linked to the traveling ED's. I explained that like you, I will have turned 42 by then, and could I please make an apt while I'm still 41. Surprisingly, I now have an apt for this June.
I wonder if you could explain your predicament and see whether she'd give you one of the 7.30am apt times like I was given? LB is doing pro-active things for your lining though, would meeting with Wazza just mess with your head, too many options and opinions??
Jesus Christ @Blossom74 what are you trying to do, make me bawl my eyes out. This year you will know that feeling of a tiny hiccup/wind moving around in your tummy to full on kicks in your ribs that stop you in your tracks. I wish this feeling for all of us.
@Bongley Lots of love to Manchego today.
@Summer I hope you can reserve your chosen CT ED through the 2nd clinic.
(I'm sorry I'm not up to date with where every-one at. Big hugs though )
