On my ph on the way to the beach so will do a personal catch up tonight - quick rant do sorry if it's annoying !

I'm absolutely done with Monash ivf.
I had to get my scans done twice this morning as the person doing it the first time had never used the equipment before or done a follicle scan.

No-one warned me that I had to pay $120 for each time I collect medication now, and I haven't got enough to for a full cycle do have to go back and pay again next week.

I got sent a pack with the hospital forms but absolutely no cycle plan.
I have no idea when each medication is supposed to be taken.
Only the amount which was on the prescription.

Totally this is just a coincidence with two nurses who don't know better but I just found it so insulting and stressful today.

The whole process is hard enough. This is number 5 for me so at least I know what to expect but if it was your first time it would be really confronting.

Going to the beach to have a surf and try to reframe my mindset.

@Tahli if you need to go to ground then that's ok.
When you're ready to surface again we're here. If you want to pop your head up at any time and vent before heading back underground that's ok too.

Look after yourself lovie and get back into a good head space again. See you when you're ready. xx

Thanks @tuxcat yeah, my scan is on friday, taking yesterday off to rest and not spread this lurgy around helped I think. I had my first OB appointment today at the hypertension clinic at RPA and it is run by my ex-FS! So that's a comfort to see him there and know everything is being run past him as he knows me literally inside out Thought I'd got rid of that guy!

So I passed my diabetes test and no high blood pressure (yet). I have to say, considering it's a public service, even though waiting around is a pain in the @ss, they are really very thorough and I do feel well cared for.
@faithandhopellove I remember when MCG Bertie was despairing as she was the last of the old crew on the thread still trying to get duffed, everyone else had graduated, then she did that IUI!! Craziness. I joined just around that time.
@Maxwellsmum ooh, exciting times! Good luck with your lining scan, glad this new way of finding donors is working out for you.
@Tahli ah, that's what we thought had happened. What a difficult situation to be in and I'm sorry you've hit rock bottom, you've tried so hard to make this work. A break, as frustrating as it is, might be good for you for a while.
@amie999 for the money we pay these places you'd think they'd get the basics right and have informed staff and a smooth process at least! Enjoy your surf
@BlondeinBrisvegas the amount of patience you've had with your Ex is quite heroic I think, I hope your friend is helping to provide some light relief for you anyway

glad to hear from you @Tahli. I hope things go smoothly & quickly with your ex & the finances here on in. a break is good to reset your body too. I hope you can pop in when you have time to say hi
@Aimee999 that's not good. yes, I'd expect the basic procedures to be in place. it's not like they haven't done this before. hopefully it was just a lack of training issue for the new staff
@Bongley glad to hear your OB appt went well & you like the clinic and care

Hi @Tahli so nice to hear from you... I'm not sure if you will be following along while you take a breather from Bub Hub but I was wondering if you have had your TSH levels tested recently? The normal reference range for TSH varies a little between labs but it is usually somewhere around .4-4 but this is for the general population. Endocrinologists generally recommend a TSH closer to 1 for those trying to conceive. A high or low TSH can cause implantation failure and miscarriage but many fertility specialists don't seem to pick up on this and it flies under the radar. It is easy to correct with medication if it is a problem. Anyhow, I just thought I'd throw that out there as something else to possibly investigate as I'm really mystified as to why things haven't worked out for you so for (aside from possibility of dud donor eggs). Take care of yourself and I really wish you all the best - I know you will get your bubba in the end. You have been such an inspiration and remained so strong and positive throughout your difficult journey, but take the time to grieve, heal and rebuild from the disappointments, it may not seem like it at the time but sometimes a few months away from IVF can be a blessing in disguise. FFxx

Have to say I have had massive problems with Monash in my last cycle. I really like my FS and nurse but admin staff are terrible!!!! Everything was stuffed up. Lost paperwork, wrong billing etc etc
I sent through a formal complaint and did get some financial compensation but never an apology- they take no responsibility!

To cut a long story short, my ex and I have reached a crux where we need to do our financial settlement asap. Unfortunately this means I won't have access to IVF funds until we've completed the settlement which all up I predict will be 6 months.
Add to this, I've hit an all time low. Severely depressed. I think 4 failed ED transfers totaling 7 embryos has finally hit me. Time for a break.
I wish you all well and @Chiefsgirl a gentle little kiss for your sweet baby girl's forehead. Big love, xx.

I can't add anything more to what the other Lovelies haven't already said. I can see why you need to step away for a bit Luv and just want you to know that I'll miss you while you're on your sabbatical from BH

I'll be here with bells on waiting for your return to the fold We're all here for you anytime, you know that and maybe you could touch base with us all from time to time either with a quick post or via Blossom with a quick message to let us know that you're still alive and kicking!!!

Awesome news @Bongley! Go the over 40's! DH has 2 younger work colleagues (late 20's and mid 30's) who are UTD. 1 has high BP and GD the other is being induced at 35 weeks due to cholestasis. It's terrible but I'm feeling rather smug. Me: over 40 - no issues.
