BFN (on Christmas Eve) of course. I'm on a much higher dose of gonal f this time and seem to be responding better. 4-5 even sized follies at my first scan on Friday. How on earth do you ladies do this month after month after month? I have such admiration for you all. What sort of response do you tend to get? I was told 4-5 is average for my age but obviously was hoping for a much better response this time.
Welcome @rockalee and hope you're doing ok with your injections. Got an Epu date yet? Can I ask what your total dose is on this cycle? This time I'm having puregon and menopur and total of 375 units. For the ladies on bh today is that still quite low?

    Hi @rockalea, and welcome!

I am 41 years old and a poor responder. I've done 4 stim cycles and from those I got a grand total of 7 eggs. I've since given up and am now actively looking for a donor.

Thanks @ceasardust for the welcome! @midnite01 I'm on 300 gonal f and orgalutran. I was on 150 gonal f on my last cycle and it seemed really low!
The injections don't bother me really although the orgalutran can be a bit stingy. I have another scan tomorrow and I think they'll give me the EPU then. I expect it will be Friday or Saturday. That'll be cd13/14. Last time I had EPU on cd15. But I had a dominate follie and they were waiting for a couple more to catch up.
They will be doing a double transfer if I get two good ones and I hope to get a one or two more to freeze but that's wishful thinking at this age I know!

@Blossom74 - how is that going for you? I never really thought about an ED (naive me!) but I was reading through all your stories last night and thought - hmm, well, may be the way to go if we get a little further down the track and my eggs are not coming to the party. DP is fine. He's 38 and all is good on his end. There's nothing wrong they can find with me either. Except age. Always age.

Ahhh @rockalee... The age argument. It's so unfair to be classed as 'old' at this age and seems ridiculous but here we all are. Good luck with your journey.

To be honest, once I let go of the idea of using my own eggs I felt a massive sense of relief. We are still waiting for approval for our advertisement from the Minister of Health (mandatory in Victoria) but I'm very excited for the next step.
