6 months will go very quickly @Tahli. Please stay in contact.

Maybe we can have a group of lovelies who are starting cycles later who want to work on some goals to improve their health/ wellbeing in the interim.

thanks for doing the list @faithandhopellove ! Good luck today @Caesardust.

Sorry Ive been a bit frazzled this week with reading everyones posts properly so if Ive missed saying good luck to anyone GOOD LUCK!

Between travelling to work more days this week and trying to catch up on my other work and handling the EDA site and pm's Ive lost the plot!!! Today I need to do lots of work so if you see me in here too much tell me to get back to work!!

I second your post @Blossom74 to @Tahli, this is just a small glitch and we hope you will be back guns blazing! She's a huge inspiration in perseverance and organisation and we need her!! Big hugs and we are all here for you when you feel ready to come back in

Just wanted to plug this new fruit juice Ive just had delivered, its from the Queen Garnet Plum and its an aussie fruit that has 10 times the amount of anthocyanins which are antioxidants (like blueberries and acai berries) - these give it the dark purple colour. I saw it on Landline a while back and they have done studies on mice on high fat diets and it was shown to reduce blood pressure and obesity. Basically I thought I would try it as an added health thing towards my cycle. You can buy it from nutrafruit.

    have a great day everyone

Following on from my earlier post, my face now has a red, itchy rash over it

I've been to the chemist and they said yep, definitely some kind of allergic reaction. Have I changed moisturiser (No), shampoo (No), laundry powder (for the love of God, no! Help me! Help me please! It's so feckin' itchy!)

Anyway, I'm taking Claratyne now, and they gave me a mild steroid cream to try and calm the farm.

I feel like my skin is really tight, like I'm wearing a mask. I wish I had a mask actually, as I still have to go to the bank this afternoon with this blazing red rash on my face.

    I know! I'll wear a balaclava!

Great idea! What could possibly go wrong

There was an organised meet up on a Sunday. I was so nervous. DH was going to come and then backed out at the last minute. On the day before I began to talk to one lady who was also going and was also nervous. So we had a mutual feeling. Lol. Well that chatting turned into an all nighter and we had soo much in common (at this stage I didn't know she was looking at donating. I thought she was looking for a donor too) it wasn't until later in the evening we talked about donors. Only for a short time. The next day being meet up day. I too was hesitant to go. It was raining. Did I really want to drive in the rain. Wasn't sure if my new friend would make it either. (Raining and with twins) I knew nobody there. I finally went and had a nervous and awkward time. It was all so fresh and new to me. People with babies. Ladies pregnant. Eekkk. It was so lovely to meet them and hear their stories. So nervous I couldn't eat anything. I just had a cup of tea. It was a breakfast meet up in a cafe due to the rain. I could finally put a face to the person with whom I had been chatting the whole day with.... Two days later she asked if I wanted her as my donor. I was speechless. I cried at work when I recieved the text. Best decision ever... She was my first and only PD. That's only due to me not being active on EDA after the event. No point leading people on
and the rest is history as they say

thanks so much @Precious40 thats a great story. Im really hoping (trying not to get my hopes up!! yeh like thats working) that this lady we are chatting to will be our donor, she's someone that both of us feel is a person we would be friends with if we had met in life.. She seems to think in similar ways to myself and I nearly cried when I read her most current email, out of WOW she's the perfect person for this. Its made me realise just how amazing these women are who would do such a thing, what an amazing gift for someone. Makes me teary!!

We are going to our first meet up this sunday, initially the idea of going to a meet up wasn't great, but the more Ive been on the forum I feel like its actually nice to have a community of people who are doing the same thing. It makes it feel less weird I suppose. You realise that actually theres tons of people out there who have gone through similar or worse and who are embracing the option too. Its nice. I don't know if that helps the undecided ladies in here any? Just to know that even though its total foreign and puts you out of your comfort zone, it can actually end up being a good experience. And there ain't much in this frucked up world of infertility that you can say that about. Lets just hope we have a baby or 2 at the end of it all, one way or another.
