    I'm at a stale mate. I need to give the go-ahead for the psyc assessment at a cost of $110. Buut the ex hasn't agreed to release money for the cycle to me yet. I'm going to have to stall for tonight somehow. I have no doubt the agency has been inundated with queries about this donor so the co-ordinator is being very very pushy with me.

    @Tahli that's a bugger and a bit of a dilemma.. When do you think your ex will give you an answer? I guess the question is if he doesn't come through then will you regret spending $110 on a psych eval for someone who you can't continue on with? Or maybe you can continue on with but just at a later date?

    I'm no further on with my decisions, I haven't heard back from Nurture about whether that donor will wait until August, and I'm trying to organise to Skype my friend in the next week to discuss her donating in more detail. So until I hear back from both I'm in limbo DH went back to work and hit a ton of stress so I'm not even mentioning anything to do with DE at the moment - I'll sort it out and then just tell him what's happening I think!

    Can you call your ex to discuss it tonight? If so, I'd do that. If not, I'd cop the $110 and pay it in the hope things will turn out ok. Put positivity out into the universe

    Excellent idea, and just what I would do. In fact, that's how our whole IVF journey has been. I make the decisions, I schedule it all in, I give DH 2 weeks notice if he needs to do something or be somewhere, and he just falls into line and co-operates

    No reason the same thing can't work for you

    @Tahli, just wondering...

    Is it possible for you to approach the bank and borrow against what will eventually be your settlement sum?

    today a lovely possible donor contacted me!! I won't go in to details but I feel so excited, early days but it's our first one and she sounds like a great match in lots of ways which is nice. It made my afternoon!

    Stay positive @Blossom74 you'll find someone!

    @Summer yes, I do the same as @Blossom74 with DP. I let him know things but stress the dates he has to do his bits.

    great news @tuxcat! fingers crossed you won't need her as your OE cycle will work out, but great to have a backup in place

    good luck tomorror @infinity888. I hope it's not too painful for you
    @Tahli, I like Blossom's idea at the bank too. otherwise, I'm sure they can wait a little while longer, right? it would just move the cycle out a bit wouldn't it? or is it really early prep so cycle dates wouldn't change
