Pretty good actually... The main thing is I'm very tired! But apart from that I have been pretty good as far as symptoms go- nothing too bad!

I'm the same with the tiredness. Falling asleep before 830 on the couch most nights and hubby waking me to go to bed whoops. Get bloated by the afternoon and if I let myself get over hungry I start feeling it but that's about it.

Hi ladies, dipping my toes in here. I'm 5w3d with hopefully baby #2. My 2 year old DS was conceived on attempt #6 using my eggs and anonymous donor sperm due to hubby's azoo, but this pregnancy is a result of a DET of donor embryos in the Czech Republic. I'll tell you more about that later, but I thought I'd consider joining another IVF DIG... the general DIGs are too full of fertiles for my situation!

Will read back and write more later. xx

Thanks. Yes it hasn't been a fun ride either time. This cycle was "only" our third attempt TTC #2, and now most likely our last ever, even if I do end up miscarrying. DH has had enough of the IVF merry-go-round, and I'm pretty over it too. We had an FET last Sept of two frosties from our successful cycle, but no dice. Then in Jan, we tried a stim at a TERRIBLE clinic in the UK (where we've been living for the last 2 years). Everything was off from day one.. I ended up only getting two mature eggs, and both of them disintegrated when they attempted ICSI with the donor sperm.

Fed up with my awful eggs, I started researching donor embryos, and found a clinic in the Czech Republic that does FETs with donor embies specially created for people who choose that kind of cycle, and for a "reasonable" price too. We then found out that we were moving back to Australia, so I used the pill to manipulate my cycle so that we could go and do a transfer in Czech on our way home from England. Amazingly it all worked out timing-wise.. my lining ALMOST didn't meet their minimum threshold (7mm), but at the last second it crept up to 7.1mm, whew! And cherry on top, I've managed to get a BFP. If this results in a healthy bub, I will seriously feel so amazingly fortunate beyond what words can describe. But obviously not looking any further ahead than the dreaded viability scan for now, which will be at 8 weeks exactly (28th, SO far away).

    Hi Sariele

Welcome! It sounds like you've had quite the journey to get where you are. What an amazing story you're going to be able to tell bubs one day! I hope it's all smooth sailing for you from here on in.

    Hi ladies,

I had my scan this morning and got to see bubs. He/she is measured 7w6d (according to their dates I am actually 7w5d) so I was relieved to see that growth is on track. We also got to see and hear the heartbeat which was 167bpm which apparently is within the expected range. I'm feeling quite relieved and a little bit of optimism is creeping in, although I'm not allowing myself to get too excited yet.

I've been feeling rubbish - really tired, nauseous, don't feel like eating (but need to force myself or the nausea gets worse), light headed and just generally lacking in energy. I just have to keep reminding myself that it's all for a good cause! I think DH is already a bit tired of my complaining!

Kathk18, how are you feeling? Did you end up on antibiotics? And is all well with you MaybeBaby?

@rmcl that's awesome !! It is such a relief to see the heartbeat. I'm feeling much the same but nausea is not too bad. I get that and the dizziness more around dinner time
Which is fine by me at least I am home.

I didn't end up getting the antibiotics by the end of week it turned into a cough So that is what is keeping me up at night plus the constant peeing lol.
    But slowly feeling better

My next scan with obs is in 2 weeks .. feeling nervous..

Thanks @rmcl, and congrats on seeing a HB, it's such a relief isn't it? I'm 5w5d today which is the same gestation I had my first scan with DS, and his heart had just started beating that day (was very slow and FS said it had only just kicked off). So all day today I've been sending heartbeat vibes to this little one too.. hopefully it follows suit!

No symptoms at all here, but I was the same last pregnancy, I never had any nausea, funny tastes, sensitivity to smells, dizziness, none of it. My only food aversion was veggies and that happened later on. Although last time I did have hard swollen boobs by this stage, but this time they're just a tiny bit firmer, probably cause they changed so much after having DS (they're now small, floppy little sad-sacks, lol).
