    Thanks @Keiko2012,

This pregnancy journey is one big worry fest isn't it? Gosh!

I guess it's also because this is my first that's progressed so far along so without the prior experience of another pregnancy, I get freaked out about almost everything.

I'm feeling much better after a good night's sleep but think I'll still call the clinic up today... 😊

Has anyone got thoughts to share on Dr Kate Kerridge who works out of Northwest Private? Her name was mentioned to me this week by Dr Charlotte Mooring (Mater) Thanks!

Sorry @MamaKes, can't help there, not in my area at all. I'm on the Southwest side and had picked an OB at Hurstville Private.

    Good luck!

We had our 8 week scan today. Bub is still looking perfect. HB of 171. They are letting us get another scan next week as our FS has been on holidays and we have been with his stand in. We want one with the FS that made this happen before we go off into the never never. Luckily for us the standin is our OB and she laughingly said I can have as many scans as I want when we transfer to her, although she started to re-think that when I jokingly mentioned daily scans... Apparently the most she has had is twice a week, but I'm thinking weekly would be good for the time being.

What wonderful news @Gagingi! Yay to bub being healthy and growing well!

Your OB is so funny! I wished I could get weekly scans too! Lol. Do you have to pay to get them done? It's cost a fortune no?

@Vickip I'm not sure about the cost. I thought we'd get the same rebate as last time, but we didn't on the scan, and I'm not sure if the right item number was used (it doesn't look right to me). I'll check with them on Monday. I'd like to get weekly scans for a bit, but we are very mindful of costs too.

Thanks @Gagingi. My OB charges $50 per u/s and there is a $30 Medicare rebate. But I am not sure whether I can just rock up and do an u/s like that because I am sure he's going to charge for a consultation which will cost $90 after rebate (I think) which then makes the total cost $120!! I think it's too expensive for us to do it all the time so I think I'll reserve it only for "emergencies / panic situations". 😕

@Gagingi we now have the same OB!! And it looks like we'll be a 'week of' Christmas delivery too!
