Default 10 week old suddenly not vocal

    Hi,

My 10 week old has gone from a babbling, cooing, yelling baby to a totally quiet one. All she does is look around, suck on her hands and dribble. I've tried to get her to talk all day but she is not interested. She's smiled at me a few times, but that's it. Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm taking her to the doctor today because I also noticed she won't turn her head to the right, only to the left. This has happened for the last week or so.

When are you seeing the doctor? If it were me I'd be heading to emergency. I don't usually overreact but with babies it's better to be safe than sorry. A stiff/sore neck can be a symptom of meningitis and if the GP suspects that, they'll send you to emergency anyway.

I agree with @Moxy. It might be nothing but a sudden change like that in a young baby is worth checking asap.
