Default High Risk at Gold Coast Uni Hospital or Mater mothers Brisbane?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice about the high risk care at either of these hospitals? I delivered at the mater in 2011 through the high risk clinic, and it was great, but id love to be a bit closer to home this time. Just thought I'd see if anyone had any experiences they were willing to share? Thanks 😊

Gold Coast is getting better equipped to do the ultra high risk but mater is still the best place if ur really high risk.

The Gold Coast Uni Hospital is also a tertiary facility. If you are a public patient and GC is closer you are likely be referred there.

My sister was high risk and had her baby at GC Uni - it is the most wonderful hospital. Plenty of staff (at least on the maternity ward), amazing food, fantastic quality of care.

I was high risk with my 5th Son born 8 days ago and went to the Mater. They were beyond fantastic. My care was exceptional and every member of staff I came in contact with was professional and friendly.

I had Gestational Diabetes and a previous serious Shoulder Dystocia birth so was very closely monitored. I felt listened to and cared about. Can't recommend them enough
