The closed system is a huge advantage, the biggest thing I found was how quiet the S2 was compared to the Medela I had previously...

I've not used the Medela in style advanced so can't comment on that particular style but the difference in amounts of milk I pumped between the Medela swing and my S2 was huge (even just pumping one side at a time).

I used my Swing when I had my DS and it was great but I needed to pump at work this time so looked at double pumps - I read a few threads on here and looked at the spectra. Couldn't be happier.

I find even though I don't often pump therefore my supply is regulated I can easily and quickly get milk if needed with the s2. Just this morning I pumped a bottle in 10 minutes as I am going out for lunch (not that she will drink it lol) even though I haven't pumped in weeks.
I have a double pump and find its a bit of overkill as I've found pumping a side is very quick but I figure the resell value will help.

I got heaps more milk with the S2 and even more than the $2000 Medela at the hospital! I used my S2 at the hospital.
It is easy to clean too! I loved that I could double pump too..

I previously had a Medela it was a single pump but the noise especially at night really grated my nerves argh was like a chainsaw!!! I could hardly hear the TV it was so loud, so many times I wanted to throw it across the room it was so loud!!
