Default Breastfed for 7 weeks, now weaning onto formula, worried constipation.

Hey guys need some advice/thoughts, i breastfed for 7 weeks and now am weaning bub on to formula, S26 Gold, at the moment he has formula every second feed. Only started this yesterday and he usually does one poo a day but he hasnt today but seems to be trying to. Just dont know if i should wait it out and see if it gets easier or try a different formula?

I'd give it a week or two

The formulas with 'gold' are often constipating. I would probably switch sooner rather than later. Bellamy's is good as is NAN comfort

It does get easier!! Around 8-10 weeks nailed it for me. If you have no supply issues then it's really worth persevering. What part are you finding challenging?

I had nipple damage from an initial bad latch but using nipple shields for a few weeks really helped.

I am starting to have trouble with him latching on one breast and i feel as though he doesn't get enough as he doesnt settle easily and is wanting a feed way before he is due. Also just finding it hard to go out and do things as im not comfortable breastfeeding in most public places. Thank you for the advice 😊

We had no problems with s26 gold, however, I've heard a lot of mums say it causes constipation. It may take a few days, for Bub to settle into any type of formula, but if the constipation continues I'd think about changing to a non gold one.

DS has been supplemented with Bellamy's since 2 weeks and have no had any poo / tummy issues.
