I am on my very first cycle using donor sperm (at 39!). So far on FSH, Aspirin, & currently Cetrotide. I'll be on HCG & Progesterone support post transfer. Have my USS on Wednesday am to check my follies. All going well, I'll have my EPU on Friday. I have a range of emotions floating around but trying to stay as calm as possible. Already preparing for a failed first cycle with hopefully a BFP on the second. LOL. If only it were that 'easy' huh?! Obviously, I'd love it to work first go but preparing for the worst to start with.

I have never been pregnant before although tried for a while with my ex. All my tests have come back fine so far, although my AMH is a tad lower than average for my age. My biggest concern is the quality of my eggs. Fingers crossed for us all!!
    @GM9 welcome!!
You will love this thread. So good to have ppl to cycle with. At times IVF can be very lonely but having well informed girls to chat with makes all the difference!
Good luck with your first cycle. It's so exciting when you finally get to start!! Sounds like your pretty realistic. When I first started I really thought I'd be pregnant within 2 cycles. I was very naive & it just lead to disappointment. I'm much more realistic now & it makes it a lot less painful when things don't work out.
Hope you have some good follies on Wednesday!
Have you told any family/ friends that you'll be doing IVF?
Are you using donor sperm because you're going at it alone?
Hope the IVF treats you well. All the best xx

@Heyside I hope viagra helps for you too.
Did Wazza test for an infection or does he just believe that's the reason for a low blood supply for you?

My FS just said the numerous reasons for low blood supply but doesn't know why I have it.
I thought it could be that I have endo and my blood goes elsewhere in my body, like my tubes, haha! Great.

Anyway, it's definitely made a difference this round so hopefully it helps. Crossing my fingers and toes for you.

Thanks @lotsathoughts really hoping it makes a difference too. Wazza didn't test for an infection no but when he did my scan he used the doppler to look into my blood flow and it was lower that is considered normal and just believes thats either due to low grade infection or trauma. Thinking back the dates I started having difficulty with lining link back to around the time I had a chemical pregnancy but that could be a coincidence.

Thanks for the support ladies. Unfortunately I have a big mouth and have told a lot of people. I'm a pretty open book, plus I know there are others out there who have been through it.

I am going it alone because I have split with my ex. The last 12 months (or probably more if I think hard enough) have been a huge roller coaster of emotions (married and separated within months but it wasn't quite so clean cut!) and so now is my chance to give it a red hot go.

I guess I'm kinda grounded because I have had 2 years of heartache already with TTC with a very unsupportive & controlling partner (to the point of already telling him I was trying to learn to live with the fact I'm never going to be a mother...and to which his response was "that's not true")!! So this is kind of a second chance for me. There has been no cause found for me not falling pregnant so far, and I can only hope he was truthful when he got his sperm checked (did it in his home town without me, and refused to have it checked again in the town we are currently living in). So I'm being optimistic but also concerned about my age and the potential quality of my eggs. I have also had a few psychic readings, and although I take them all with a grain of salt, they have all been positive in that regards, but some say not without a few hurdles.

I feel now I'm giving it my best shot. If it doesn't work then it wasn't meant to be. Nothing more I can do really. My age is against me so no time to wait for Mr Right, who may never appear! So here I am, finally in the throes of round 1, & finally feeling that I might actually be in with a shot.

Thanks. One can only hope!! But I'm not disillusioned. I have seen the troubles many other women have had to face through this forum, and seeing friends/family struggle. Of course my sister fell pregnant at the drop of a hat, but she has had many other struggles in life I haven't. But of course, I have had my fair share of being thrown curve balls as well. Just goes to show hey?! Time will tell.

Hey ladies, I'm a bit worried. Today I've developed a UTI. Been to the doctors and I've started on antis. Just wondering and worried that this might be detrimental to this cycle. Had transfer last Saturday so 8dp5dt today, also POAS this afternoon and bfn at this stage. I would ring my nurse but it's Sunday. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Xx

@GM9 love your energy! Great outlook with everything. Yes age is a factor with egg quality, no doubt about it, but I think lifestyle is a huge factor too. Control what we can and hope the best with what we can't.
Sounds like you are in a better place without Mr ex so hopefully the good vibes keep rolling.

I just wish we all could have a smooth journey...that would be my wish from a genie.
