Hi I'd like to join this group as I'm starting my first ivf cycle tommorrow with gonal F.
I'm very new to ivf and I don't know of anyone that's even been through it, I'm pretty sure this thread will be a godsend to keep me going. I hope everyone is doing well during their cycles!

Thanks everyone anulka, I'm mostly nervous because in the past my embies have had trouble thawing. I only have this one so if it doesn't thaw properly transfer will be cancelled, and I won't be having another full cycle for a while.

Hi All, Can I join in for a bit? I have a FET scheduled for Friday, my last embryo and my last cycle so feeling very emotional. My lining is not very thick, first scan 7.0mm, then second scan went backwards to 6.3mm. Another scan to check the day before transfer and then a decision will be made. Very nervous as I don't want to waste this very special last chance. Any advice re lining thickness and anyone want to share their lining thickness prior to transfers?

The honest optimal lining thickness is 8+ but I've done lots of research and some clinics accept 7. I would recommend CoQ10 and vitamin E in high doses to help lining. Also the latest thing I'm trying is viagra inserted into the vagina. The reasoning behind this is it promotes blood flow to the lining. Hope these tips help in future. On a personal choice level I would choose not to go ahead if you don't get above 7 at the latest. I'd call and ask to get on the Viagra ASAP and I'd get Steiger on Vit E. I'm taking 3000mg of Vit E a day for lining support. The Coq10 is a antioxidant that's known to help. You can google and find success rate improvement with these supplements

Thanks for the feedback Apples1234. Is the viagra in pessary form specifically for insertion into the vagina? I think I have read on another forum that my FS doesn't believe in this but I will ask.

@Apples1234 - Great that you now know exactly where you stand with your boosters hun, hopefully it changes to two lines soon. I think some ladies get a bfp from 6/7 days post transfer hun but some ladies later than that especially if your embie was a little behind so definitely time yet for two lines, good luck x
@tam82 - Welcome hun, good luck with your first cycle. Its good to share your journey on here with people going through the same thing.
@skeeter - i can understand that concern hun but really hoping you have a strong frostie there who will survive the thaw and develop well.
@LLou - Welcome hun, hoping you get the go ahead for your transfer on Friday. I have big issues with my lining too so can understand your frustration, it normally is around 8mm. Wazza did a scan on me last cycle observing my blood flow around the uterus and commented it was lower than it should be probablydue to low grade infection or trauma which may be my issue. He has me on viagra, trental and nitro-dur patches all to improve blood flow. I never get a scan once I get the go ahead for an FET and start the progesterone as I dont think he expects any change at that stage.
I do know Wazza has done transfers in the past with linings around 6mm but he will do everything possible to make it thicker where possible.

@skeeter welcome, you've been through so much by the sounds of it. Wishing you all the best. You deserve some good news.
@needingamiracle2016 sorry to hear this, fingers crossed its just a little too early. Hope you go ok back at work, might take your mind off things. xx
@tam82 welcome. You'll learn lots on the thread. It's my first cycle too, I've learnt so much from here and it's been a great support.
@LLou welcome. All the best for your transfer. Fingers crossed your lining improves!

Has anyone had really severe low back pain whilst down regulating? I've had really severe low back pain for the last two days, unable to walk properly. I've had some treatment today and my Physio told me it's likely to be the hormones that's made me more susceptible to low back pain. I picked up my injections today and the nurse said I can't take any anti inflams. Just panadol whilst I'm doing IVF. I'm getting worried my back isn't going to improve until I've finished my hormones now. It's just getting worse and worse.
