Sorry ladies..... App went a bit silly and didn't show me the updated posts
@Evelynmoo I'm so sorry to hear this news. I hope you're coping ok. I can imagine it's quite devastating. Try to stay positive. Easier to say I know.
I understand how you feel feeling like your body is letting you down. Sometimes things just aren't fair, but everything in life is a lesson and it's only going to make you stronger. xxx

@Muchulu1 - I have transfered 7 embies in the past the last of which was a double transfer. I have in thst time experienced a chemical pregnancy and a blighted ovum. My current fs is Warren Deambrosis in Brisbane, he did a biopsy back in October which showed slightly elivated NK cells but he wasn't too concerned and gad me on prednisone and clexane anyway. Now I have a pgd tested frozen embie he is going to cover all bases and send me in for intralipids this cycle. Its my understanding that a lot of fs are very sceptical with immune issues and treatment is still quite new in ivf terms, it might be worth pushing for tests though so you know where you stand.
    Hi @Heyside
    Thanks for your reply
Sounds like it hasn't been easy for you guys. I've heard good things about your FS. I hope it works for you this round.
If we don't have any luck this cycle I'll be a bit more assertive & push for more tests. How many cycles did you do before the double transfer & the prednisone/ clexane?
Will this be your first cycle with a PGD tested embie?
Had my ET yesterday. Still on the single transfers.

On another note...I noticed on one of your previous posts you mentioned your going to try an immune protocol for NK cells. Did you have a NK cell test? Biopsy? Did your FS order the investigations or have you had a diff specialist look into it?
I'm wondering if I've got an immunological thing going on. I'm 5 cycles in & still 'unexplained'. Have had a bunch on tests done & everything suggests we should be able to get pregnant naturally. Anyway, we've been at it for years & no luck. My FS says its just a numbers game & says the best thing for us to do is keep doing ET & wait for a sticky one. I mentioned immunological infertility to him & he kinda shrugged it off. I didn't ask anymore questions at the time but I haven't stopped thinking about it. Sorry for the long post! I suppose I'd just like to know if your FS initiated the immunological investigations & what symptoms/ tests did you have?
I'm wondering if my FS is just super conservative & maybe I should get a second opinion?

If I were you I'd get a NK test. Luckily my FS had a degree also in immunology and infertility so he is very open to it. (Many don't believe its effects). He is even going to do intralipids for me (rather than go to Dr M in Sydney for the treatment). You have to be pushy in this game or I would say assertive and always get what you want. If you're not feeling like your FS is going to explore other things then maybe change? I would anyway if it were me. There are many things that effect fertility. Here are some tests you could look at if you haven't already.

Obviously when you start IVF you have sperm and egg reserves checked. There are a number of other issues that stop IVF working also so if you have had repeatedly had trouble with the embryos not sticking I would make sure you do these tests:

    Embryo genetics test - PNG

Hysteroscopy- a camera to check lining (can be done while getting eggs collected)

Dye test to test if tubes blocked and if they are open you can do a Lipiodol flush (I'm going to do next month) Many women fall pregnant after this flush as it clears any inflammation or infections. My FS even said many women go on to conceive naturally after the Lipiodol flush!!!!!

Blood test for Natural Killer Cells

And then there are a tonne more that you can do Which I'll post below:

Ok here is another list of ALL THE TESTS a friend has done over the years:

    AMH
    Semen Analysis (male)
    MTHFR gene mutation
    ANA (anti nuclear antibodies)
    Full Blood Count (haematology)
    Serum Folate
C-Reactive Protein (good/increased protein levels can assist when trying to conceive)
    Anticardiolipin antibodies
Lymphocyte Surface Markers (NKC are made up in this, which I understand to be CD56 – blood)
NKC uterine biopsy to test for CD57 (uterus)
    Factor V Leiden mutation
    Karyotype (male and female)
    IgG, IgA, IgM
HLA-DQ Alpha 1 (DQA) and DQ Beta 1 (DQB) (this should get tested with male and female to query any mismatch of chromosomes)
CD21 progesterone (confirms ovulation having taken place – or not)
    Rubella
    Lupus Anticoagulant
    Thyroid Antibodies
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH over 2.5 cease taking l-Cartinine)
    Pelvic Ultrasound (pre-IVF check)

Thanks @Apples1234 so good to know what tests are available. Have done a few on that list but there is clearly lots more that can be done. If I were to change FS i'm not really sure who I'd change to. Im in Perth & all the FS seem pretty conservative :/ I think at this stage i'm best served just being really assertive with my current FS.
Anyway I'm PUPO atm so I should be taking it easy & thinking positive. Haha easier said than done...the mind does wander.
Had ET yesterday. Got a pic of our blasty & can't stop looking at it. I think they are so amazing. I still can't believe those little frosties grow into babies.

Yep just be insistent then. You're paying. It's your body. But yes relax for now.

Keep the list in case you need it and to take to your FS. But hopefully you won't. I had a transfer yesterday also! Let's keep in touch. Xx

@Apples1234 lipiodol flush looks promising. Just been trawling the Internet to see if Hollywood offer it. Can't see anything online. Will ask the nurse tomorrow when they call with my P4 E2 BT results.

Yes I'm excited about it and will do it if this cycle doesn't work. But my FS just wrote a referral and I have to go to a radiologist to do it. It's done under xray
