I wish they had a results page on Myschool for how many students at the school had bullying concerns, how many students/teachers and parents felt the bullying policy was enforced, how many students felt pressured and anxious, how many teachers loved working there and were happy with the conditions, how many students enjoyed school. And outlined their social programs, extra curricular activities, and sense of community spirit in a meaningful way.

I would find that far more useful than NAPLAN when trying to compare schools and find the right fit...

All public schools did this in 2012. Parent and student surveys.

I know they did it in the ACT when we lived there and the results were available in the schools' annual reports. Much better information than NAPLAN and Myschool in my opinion.

But I haven't seen any in Qld - I don't think they do it here.

Yes, you should be able to find it in myschool but even 2012 is dated, a lot could change since then

I'm looking a schools for DD next year too. I've noticed people often mention meeting the principle, is that typically an option? I can't imagine principles have a lot of spare time to meet random prospective families, and the schools in our area are certainly not short on numbers (none take out-of-area except under special circumstances).

If a principal was unwilling to meet then that would ring alarm bells for me

We have been at 2 schools (moved interstate hence why we changed), but the first time, yes the principal took us on a tour of the school and answered questions about bullying, help for special needs and extra curricular activities.
The 2nd school, very hard to get in to, but we did meet the principal at our enrolment interview who answered questions on positive behaviour and the like.

    It does happen.
