    Default Something interesting...

I once sang for the Queen... Well almost. We were supposed to sing for the Queen when she was here in 2002 with Prince Philip (for memory it was the opening of the Roma St Parklands although I could be wrong) but it started raining so instead they played a recording of "God Save the Queen" and "Advance Australia Fair". But I was there, and I still saw her, so I'm counting it. I'm pretty dull otherwise.

ETA it was actually for CHOGM now that I think about it. But I'm sure it was just after the Roma St Parklands opened which is why I thought that was it.

It's a corporation - I know they did super at one stage, not sure what else.

Bank/insurance company. Although back in the day it may have been a building society. Yep, I'm pretty old too.

They still have my money from yonkey-donks ago. I think they wanted dental records in order for me to claim what I had sitting there.

I have macular degeneration in one eye. One night I was at work and straight lines in the tiles went wavy. It didn't hurt so I ignored it for a few days and it didn't clear up. So basically the blood vessels at the back of my eye leak.

To control this I have to have a tiny dose of a chemo drug injected INTO MY EYEBALL every month. The first time they tried it went bad. Now I get happy pills to take first and they bring in someone to hold my hand. There's a whole waiting room of old people about to have the same thing and they just suck it up. I do not suck it up.

@Tamtam what characters? That's so awesome!
I have a older sister and brother.
Her heart condition got worse with each pregnancy. They didn't think she would survive the pregnancy or birth. They used say to my dad he could have her or the baby but not both.
This 40 odd years ago in rural Australia. My siblings were sent off to her mother's 5 hour drive away.
