    Default NIPT through Genea (GENESYTE)

Has anyone done their NIPT through genea? If so - what is the protocol? Do they scan beforehand to make sure Bub is measuring 10 weeks or more, or just drain the blood? How much blood gets taken?

    TIA!

    Hi

I had mine done through Genea but at a private ultrasound place.

So yes they did a quick scan (I was 11 weeks at the time), then took the blood. Just one vial. They sent it off to Genea who billed me, but I got a call from the genetic Dr at the ultrasound place 8 working days later.

I had a friend who had it done directly at Genea in Sydney CBD and they did a quick scan prior to taking bloods too.

    Hope that helps.

I had mine through Genea too. They did not do a scan prior to blood collection. As I also had NT bloods done through them, they took 2 vials of blood.

I was 10+2. I actually had to go back at 13+1 for a recollection as they couldn't get a result the first time due to my high BMI. Good luck 😊

I had mine done through Genea in the CBD. They do a viability scan prior to taking the bloods so they don't charge you if you have unfortunately lost bub. I can't remember if they actually check size/dates during the scan.

All done, but no scan. They must only do it at some offices. Ah well.
