    Not a fan at all, I feel people would continually ask him to repeat it and also spell it out.

    Thing is though, if you like it, then what anyone else thinks doesn't really matter.

    Not a fan, it sounds made up and it doesn't suit say a 30 year old professional. Maybe find a traditional T name that you like and use Tavvy as the nickname. Thomas?
    It also reminds me of the wine nickname.. Savvy

    I have known a Tavis. I prefer Travis, . Travis could be shortened, to taavi ?? I think Travis is bit more manly, Taavi, is a like a nick name. Marie

    I've also known a Tavis, which would be good for a Tavvy nickname. But of course they get the "Travis?" "No, TAVIS" all the time

    if you like taavi then just use that as a name? no point trying to find a first name that fits a nickname, seems like a back to front way of doing it! just go with whatever you like. I think taavi is ok as an adult name.

    Thanks everyone we are going to add Taavi to the top our list for boys names and use tavvy as a nickname if we end up with a boy!
