preggasaurus I read your entire post not realising you had said "ex" and after the last paragraph I had to scroll back up to make sure it was in fact your ex and was so relieved to see he is. That's just plain scary. Awful. How excruciating for you.

As for me, I won't go into detail as to what I've forgiven DH for, but he's had many issues that have been self sabotaging and in turn deeply affected the family unit. I like to think that I helped him through rather than forgave as such, although he caused me insurmountable pain and stress at times, I understand he was battling some very wicked demons.
I'm happy to say those days are well and truly over with now and upon reflection he's damn lucky he has someone with as much empathy as I do (too much perhaps for my own good) because most would have left for good.

Hi OP, not meaning to be rude, but this is very similar to your other thread that you kept bumping. Just wondering, is there something specific you want to talk about? It might help you...

This could be our story, except it was me battling the demons and DH forgiving me. You could say the same about his empathy too.

As for me forgiving him, he hit and shook me too. It rattled both of us, I can tell you! That was at our very worst, and we are both more well mentally and physically now. We are stronger than ever now, better than ever actually and very happy.

My hubby has had to forgive me for something that would normally ruin a marriage. Whilst we have our issues he is amazing. We are undergoing counselling together again and things are really improving.

Thank you everyone... I received much more support than I deserve, so thank you.
I haven't deleted my other post like I had originally intended, purely because I didn't get the negativity that I thought I might, I thought that because I stayed for so long, I might get comments or questions about WHY I stayed for so long, went on to have a second child with him, etc...
    So, thank you...
