Yes, just had a look at The World Egg Bank actually, and it's waaaayyyyy too expensive for us. But a small personal loan combined with the little bit of savings we have left might just cut it for an Egg Donor cycle if I found someone on EDA. I think that's the way we are heading, with donor embryos as a backup. Fingers crossed the bank will come to the party. Today, in preparation, I am working on my ads which need to get approval prior to publication as I'm in Victoria.

I don't reckon that's too bad love. Considering you're not great with FMU, AND it's only 12dpo which is still early on, I reckon it's very good to get your double pink lines within the allocated time frame.

Think back to when I got my BFP. I had a barely there squinter at 6dp5dt. So grey and fine that DH couldn't even see it. I know it's nice to think you could get a blazing red line across the stick but in reality sometimes these things take time. It's an exercise in patience, I know!

I reckon you have a nice little singleton in there, and soon enough he will start to make his presence very well known

All good! My afternoon POAS was stronger than FMU. And my line was only looking nice & pink, but still a bit faint at 8dp5dt. Give it until tomorrow to strengthen up, the good thing is that it's not lighter & it's showing up in the time frame

I'd say you're safely UTD @Tahli!! its super early still and a line is a line is a line!

Be positive, I reckon in 8 months time you'll be hitting the labour ward with a few of us hopefully not far behind you!!
@Blossom74 thats great news, EDA seems pretty good from what Ive seen with people finding donors so theres a great chance you'll find yours.

    Are you sure Luv??

Would you be happy with the line if the first time you tested was this morning?? It sounds like either a SMU or your afternoon POAS is stronger for you. You know that most Girls don't get a squinter until today.

I can tell you at 14dpo my line was lighter than the control, at 15dpo it was equal to the control and at 16dpo it was darker than the control. You've still a good 2-3 days for it to darken up to a decent shade

Try to hold on as much as you can and test late this arvo/evening and see how you're looking

@Tahli hon, I think if you're going to be POAS so often you're inevitably going to get a few lighter lines during the day.

If you want to do another this arvo, try and hold your fire for AT LEAST 4 hours. Get that wee as orange as the sunset, withhold from drinking too many fluids, and I reckon that second pink line will shine for you I held on for 8 hours with one of mine - I challenge you to a dual!

I know when I was POAS (with Blossom) I gave myself quite a scare once because I was doing it every 2 hours. You just don't get the concentration you need, especially at such an early point in time.

Hugs hon, I know how hard it is. And God knows I love the sticks! But I think you need to just step away from them - momentarily, at least!

AFM....I've just done up two advertisements for the Minister's approval. The first is for an egg donor, and the second I amended slightly for an embryo donor. I figure I may as well get both ready and approved, so that if a donor egg cycle is financially out of reach we have the embryo donor option. I won't publish the embryo one if a donor egg cycle is possible though.

I have emailed my clinic so I can get a basic idea of costs for a DE cycle. They are not open on weekends but I should hear from them next week. I will also go to the bank next week and see what we can do with regards to financing, and indeed if they will even do finance for IVF purposes. They say on their website that you can get a personal loan for school fees and wedding rings, so why not IVF I say!

It was interesting discussing all of this with DH. We mutually agreed on most things - level of contact should we achieve a successful pregnancy, our preference for a donor who has either had a family of their own or donated before, and our preference to stay with our current clinic if possible. This whole process is so involved!

I feel good though. I'm pleased I have a definite plan in place and as ignorant/naive as it sounds I actually have high hopes that we could find a donor to help us. I think we are nice people and we present fairly well, and that has to be a good thing, right?

Yeah. I'm feeling good about it.
