thanks everyone. yes, the midwife gave me a week off work/certificate. I told work and they said to take as much time as I need. I've just been doing a few hours here & there and checking emails to keep things going and it keeps me busy for a bit. I guess I'll see what happens over next 2 weeks until next scan and see if they think I should have d&c then or if it'll be natural. I read up on some other's experiences to see what to expect. if I used the LMP dates I was using at the start, we're still 8weeks 5days today (9weeks sun) so scan day was 8weeks3days, and bub was 7weeks1day then so still only a week behind as she was from the first scan + 2 days, so slowing, I think since sun/mon, but I don't think she was 2 weeks behind. it's good to hear other people's good news. for a moment I can forget what's happening and everything seems ok still

@winsor why do you have to wait 2 weeks for another scan? Can't they give them to you sooner and more frequently while you are going through the stress of not knowing ?

I guess so. I'm not sure if they'd help at this point as there's nothing we can do. I'll see how I feel next week & maybe goto the paid place. the midwife said to come back in 2 weeks, so I'm not sure she'd let me have another if I went back earlier. I think it's best we concentrate on supporting and saying goodbye now

Safe flying @Bongley. Enjoy a little bit of 'me' time on the flight before things become incredibly tough. I'm sending you huge hugs of support to help you get through. When are you flying back? Look after Manchego, xx.
@winsor Hun, that sounds really sensible. I hope you've got a quiet w.end organised.
