Maybe that's an LB thing? Not sure.. If the other girls have said that with Monash they could've transferred the next cycle maybe it is an LB preference not to allow it? It frustrated me at the time, BUT it also made sense in the end... To prepare for a transfer that might not happen Bcos you don't know what ur embie results will be is essentially a waste of money, & it means ur taking meds etc & preparing ur body for transfer knowing that there may not even be a transfer if your embies aren't normal. But maybe other FS are happy to prepare ur body, start drugs or hormones and just take a chance hoping you'll get normal embies. Having just had an FET cancelled day before transfer I have to say id never ever want to do all that whilst waiting for PGD results too. Bcos waiting on those results is nerve wrecking enough without doing 2-3 weeks of meds etc & then it all being for nothing.
@Caesardust - on my first cycle I prepared for an fet the next cycle in the hope I would get a PGD normal embryo. There was no cost but maybe that was because I didnt take any meds and only had a trigger shot . That could be the reason my FS said I could prepare for a transfer the next month. Might be a different story of it was a medicated fet. I did this on my second PGD cycle as well and on the third decided not too as I found the disappointment harder to deal with when I had nothing to transfer. I think preparing for an fet gets your hopes up even though you try and tell yourself it doesn't.

So if Epu was late April. Then next cycle started mid May so transfer would be in late May. Pgd results would be in beginning to mid May. Does that sound right?
    That is what Wazza does.

@infinity888 I get it for $75 at Terry White. I'd see if your local pharmacy can order it for you - most have a relationship with a compounding pharmacy (allow a week). The pharmacy you mention is very very expensive - great at 7am on a Saturday to get IVF drugs, but not so good for non-PBS. A few girls on here get it posted too and that is $70-85 I think incl postage.

Are you on melatonin or Trental too? Again other pharmacies are cheaper.

Fingers crossed last round and Bon voyage Tahli

Faith - I am so sorry for your loss and heartbreak. My friend had to let a twin go to save her sister and I couldn't imagine saying those words but know that they were very strong in that minute and have a gorgeous daughter thanks to her twins sacrifice. It sounds like you need to have some sort of farewell ceremony (they released butterflies outside the hospital' to help say goodbye but also to say you will never be forgotten and will remain a piece of your heart. Sometimes a ceremony lets you say those words out loud that you are trying to hold in as you find a way to deal with it all. I hope you find a way to come to peace with your loss.

I used to get my DHEA/Melatonin from Terry White at Windsor as that pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy and allow a couple of days for them to make it up just in case they didn't have any on standby.

I just can't remember how much I paid for them now?? Give them a call and find out

For those who don't know me as I've popped in and out a few times here my son is an IVF baby through many tries and a stroke of good luck and wizard science He was born in May14 and when he was 6months and 7months we tried a single 2day FET trf with no success and at Xmas this year had our last two embryos shipped to where we are in the USA for trf. They let them cultivate to be 3day and we had both trf'd one a 6cell and the other 8cell but sadly still no luck. We have now used all our embryos from my sons batch and have accepted that we will have to wait till next year and returning to Aus (Canberra) to try again as it is ridiculous the cost here. I turn 40 in Oct!
Are any of you ladies at Cbr clinics?
