@Bongley I don't know how you function properly on 1000mg. It's just too much for me. I must be a real light-weight on the serious drugs!!
Right now I'm on 500mgs in the morning and in 5 days I'll have to make the call as to whether to add the extra 500mgs to the evenings meds, to get me back up to 1000mg daily, as per Dr M's instructions. Food for thought.
Oh, and my nurse here said I definitely should have started on 500mgs for 2 weeks before taking the full 1000mgs. Hopefully this helps one of Dr M's patients in the future who reads this!
@Tahli good to hear it! I was actually on 1500mg but I never took more than 500 at a time. You were taking 1000 in one hit weren't you??? That would kill me. Yeah I very slowly built up to 1500 over the course of a few weeks with as many hours between each dosage as possible. Best of luck that sounds like a great couple of embryos on board

Some random info alert! Being in my Happy Bubble I didn't want to talk to Dr W about what my options would be if this cycle didn't work but considering I had access to him I thought I'd best take advantage.
I have one frozen embryo left. If I fly over for a single FET and it doesn't thaw well I wouldn't be offered an embryo from their embryo bank. They currently have a shortage of embryos because once parents have real life babies from their donations they don't want full siblings to be donated to other women so chose to discard the embryos instead.
My nurse didn't recommend using one of the donated eggs because they don't thaw well, to then be inseminated, and she explained the drop off rates.
Yes, @Blossom74 you can do an egg sharing fresh cycle with another woman. So splitting the costs between 2 women. Apparently you just need to be very clear about how to allocate an uneven number of eggs and how you both deal with it if your proven donor produces significantly less eggs than on previous cycles.
Dr W definitely recommended using my current ED again because she produces such good quality frozen blasts.
There's a lack of new sperm donors, who are recruited from universities, due to months of student unrest here. Long story, but CFC haven't been able to get into the uni's so had to cancel their latest recruitment drive.

Interesting. So I could split the costs with someone? It's probably still out of my reach, but I guess if costs were split based on embryo numbers I could do a round with someone and take a lesser amount. Food for thought....

Congrats on being pupo Tahli. The reason is slipped your mind about your last embryo, is because you won't need to fly back. Unless of course you want to go for baby number 4

I've had one of those days. DH decided today he wanted to go to the forest and collect our first load of wood for the season. That went fine, finishing up at the bakery for a piece of cake.

However, upon arriving home we somehow managed to get into a bust-up about money (or more accurately, lack thereof) and ended it with me going inside the house crying. I am hot, tired and stressed. Not a good combo

So no, in answer to your questions I've not been baking this weekend ladies. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I'll get around to it. We have a BBQ Birthday Party to go to at lunch time but perhaps there will be time afterwards.

@Summer, I've got you message hon but am just too bl00dy hot to sit and type much longer right now. I'll respond by tomorrow, I promise! Right now I think I need to go and have another cool shower and a drink and a bit of a lie down. I have been keeping up my fluids and sat in a cool shady spot in the forest, but the ambient temperature was still 30 degrees or so, so I'm just knackered.

Yep, in one hit @Bongley. I think I would have quit using it 3 nights ago if a) it wasn't such a hard slog sticking it out just to get to transfer and b) if it hadn't been splashed all over the news the night before I flew out hailing it as the new miracle drug to combat recurrent miscarriage. Either way, I'm cool bananas on 500mg. So I'm fine for the next 5 days at least!
Your DS1 was very much on my mind as a flew over here. I thought the following scenario might play out....I'd get 1 good embryo to transfer, then the 2nd one would be poor, so they'd thaw the 3rd one and it would be fine. I thought they'd advise me to transfer the good and fine ones, and discard the poor one. I kept thinking of your DS1 being a less that ideally graded embryo and I just knew I couldn't discard a poor embryo. I genuinely thought there could be a possibility I'd be flying back with 3 embryos on board!!

@Tahli I would have had a heart attack for you if you'd come back pupo with three!

(Touch wood) I would have been sh~t scared too!! It's also that if they thought one was going to perish I'd rather that be inside his Mummy than a medical bin.
I just feel so ridiculously blessed to have my two little poppets on board now. This stage is lovely....before I get to the stage that Blossom's at.
@Blossom74 I wish I could have taken you to breaky with me and given you lots of tlc. You sound like you need it. Do you have a girlfriend you could meet up with for a cool drink and chat tomorrow?

Tomorrow I'm meant to be going to a 30th birthday bbq. Better than a baby shower I suppose. I'll be ok. Bl00dy DH is testing my patience today and we've now had two fights. I wish he'd just bugger off on a business trip and give me some peace. Actually, I'm travelling for business this coming week so that will be a reprieve.

I would have loved to do a breakfast with you @Tahli. I like bacon. Almost as much as cake
