lastround, PGD is genetic testing. as I understand it, on day 6? they take a cell from the part of the embryo that will become the placenta (the outside part) and then test it for genetic abnormalities. so you can have a normal or geneticly unviable embryo or an unknown if they can't tell. I think it can take a few weeks for results. I haven't tried it as it was thousands of dollars at the time my frostie was made and it wasn't at the right stage to test later once the price had dropped and my new clinic didn't offer it (plus none ever made it that far by then)

@Tahli sounds very promising. I agree stay happy get sleep and watch lots of funny shows. xo & what are their names are they both called Bob? Or perhaps Bob and Bobette? @Blossom74 too early I agree Mon to Wed. Stay sane Hun not long now just a few more days. @Lastround Wazza/ Charlotte are in Spring Hill in Brisbane. It is a 5 minute walk from central train station to their rooms. I mentioned it before but Wazza does have a huge wait list I waited about 9 months I think it may be longer now. He is very popular. PGD testing or CHG testing is when they remove a cell from your embryos and test it. It costs $700 per embryo to test (off hand) but is very useful to make sure your not transferring abnormal embryos. I never did it. In hind sight I wish I did but I guess like with everything in life we always learn more as it goes on.

PGD is pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. It is a test performed to ensure what looks like a healthy emby is actually genetically ok as well. A PGD tested emby is worth it's weight times a million in gold.

(Never used Wazza myself but one of the other lovelies will know where he's hiding out!)

Preimplantation genetic diagnosis it will let you know if the embryos are abnormal or not. Having said that even the normal ones only have something like a 60% success rate. I had two normal tested donor egg embryos fail before a successful one but I was also treated for immune issues after the first two failures. Previously all my own egg embryos transferred were of poor quality. If you get some to test (on day 5 or 6) then it will save you time and cost transferring the abnormal embryos.

I understand the want/need to get pregnant ASAP, but more importantly than that - you need to get pregnant and be able to hold onto it. PGD testing might bring you that final and most important step.

    Your choice entirely though hon!
That's exactly what my FS says, it's a numbers game. Which is pretty frustrating while we waste money doing Stims & FET and lining their pockets in the hope that we will one day have a baby.
My DD is 17 had her naturally different relationship. Hubbie swimmers are the issue with me but I completely believe you ladies are right! Time for a new FS is in order

Thanks hon. It's getting to the pointy end now and I can feel my BP rising as each day passes. I was ok up to yesterday and them bam! Internal pandemonium.

At least I feel a bit better physically today. yesterday I had a really sore belly - I felt like I was inflamed on the inside. Today, whilst I didn't get much sleep last night, at least that uncomfortable feeling is gone.

I'm spewing actually, that I never kept a diary of this time (post transfer, pre BFP) to compare how I'm feeling. I'm sure I must have felt something at the time but now? I dunno, I just feel normal. So now I'm just hoping feeling normal = being pregnant, lol.

I hate numbers games. I am naturally unlucky and never win, lol. But hey, I've gotten pregnant once before so maybe now my body knows what I'm trying to get it to do and will hang onto one. Hope Baby Cakes is a little firecracker with a lot of internal spark, even if he didn't look too flash on paper
